Beautiful stay in the middle of nature

Very friendly staff, in the middle of a beautiful natural environment with nobody near you. Perfect for hiking, enough facilities in the apartment and great to go together with some friends.

You get woken up at 6 am by a honking train going by 😅

Excellent family accomodation in the middle of nature

The accomodation is located in the middle of nature, in a quiet location from where one can undertake lovely walks through the woods. The host is very welcoming and the apartment was very clean and comfortable, with a wonderful view of the river. The breakfast was very good, more than sufficient and at a decent price. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Great hotel in tranquil location

The best thing about this hotel is its quiet location in the valley among nature. You are surrounded by hills, there is little river flowing by the hotel, cows and horses grazing in the fields around, a few nice hiking and cycling trails in immediate proximity. The restaurant food was traditionally German and delicious. Good breakfast too. And the staff was very helpful and friendly, some of them spoke good English. Lovely place for nature lovers and good base for nearby Eifel National Park. I would come back.

Compared to earlier stay - a little disappointing

It's a beautiful location and the hosts are really friendly. The apartment is well equipped (if you include the oven again) and spacious. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom is also very spacious and clean.

The oven was gone! The last time we stayed here there was an oven. We brought all kinds of things that could go into the oven and upon arrival we discovered the oven was gone. When I booked it was still there (I know because I booked as we drove away the last time in September). We were not informed of this change and had to buy other groceries, which we wanted to avoid by shopping beforehand which eventually was for nothing. Usually it's quiet, this time on Saturday there were renovations to the apartment downstairs. Drilling and a lot of noise directly under us. Again - I would like to have been informed by the people instead of the drill that drilled through our conversation. We get things need to be done, expectation wise it was not good. We came to Gut Kallerbend to get away from the noise but landed straight into it.

A perfect quiet getaway in nature

This is a place, you don't want to tell others about because you just don't want others to discover this hidden gem! The location, the room, friendly staff. I don't want anyone else to book it but me, that is how good it is! It's quiet and hidden away, you want a good night of sleep, this is the place. You want to breathe fresh air? Go for a morning walk in nature, listen to the river that flows by when you wake up? Yes this is it. Don't tell anyone!

Really great place for a short and relaxing stay.

We love the decoration and the facilities of the apartment. Surrounding is amazing. The host is very friendly. Their first floor is a good restaurant. Food there is delicious! We will come back.

It would be great if they had some more lazy chairs around the back for guests by the river as there are only 2, and the one was broken.

Superb

Location was really good. There was a small hike right next to the Hotel. Super market was about 7 to 8 minutes away. Many things to do in and around the area within 30 minutes drive. Bed rooms were extremely clean. . Staff were super friendly and spoke decent English. Apartment had everything to cook. Ideal location for Corona times or if you like nature.

When we entered the apartment there were a lot of flies like 30 to 40. Its the season and nature of location. The Hotel should think of putting mosquito nets to the windows. We managed with a couple of swatters. Advice to take an electric fly swatter.

The location was perfect, the staff very nice and attentative. Very nice atmosphere. Would definitely recommend! Step right out of the door for a beautifull walk through the woods and hills.

Gute Lage - mitten in der Natur, perfekte Anbindung an die Öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel

Zur Ferienwohnung „Panorama“: Keine vollfunktionsfähige Küche - Mikrowelle mit Grillfunktion und 2 Kochplatten; u.a. war nur 1 Teelöffel vorhanden. An der Sauberkeit darf gearbeitet werden.

Fantastische oase van rust midden in natuurpark Eiffel, perfect voor wandelaars (met honden)

Het is een prachtige locatie, midden in een dal net buiten het gehucht Zerkall. Het is geen spectaculair uitzicht zoals soms in de Alpen, maar wel een prachtig uitzicht, met een ontbijtrestaurant (eenvoudig landelijk ontbijt, geen buffet-achtig idee als bij de grote hotelketens). De gastheer en-vrouw spreken uitstekend Engels, en zijn zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ons appartement, de Lindenbaum, heeft een heel groot balkon aan twee zijden (voorzijde woonkamer en zijkant slaapkamer) met een heerlijk landelijk uitzicht (soms een roofvogel op het hek nog geen 10 meter verderop). Vooral in de zomer kan je hier prachtig zitten, inclusief de zitbank die er staat (en met zonneparasol). Bij slecht weer is het ook goed te doen, want ons appartement heeft een grote huiskamer. Er zijn enorm veel wandelmogelijkheden, perfect ook voor mensen met honden in een zeer, zeer rustige omgeving (geen massatoerisme). Het is vooral zeer degelijk en vooral rust. Als je rust zoekt, op nog geen uur rijden van de Nederlandse (zuid-)grens, dan is dit je plek. Absolute aanrader!

Wij vonden het grappig, maar ik kan me indenken dat je als bezoeker last heb van het boemeltje (klein lokaal elektrische treintje) dat veelvuldig met waarschuwingssignaal voorbij het gebouw komt. En je kan je ergeren aan het feit dat je maar twee kookpitten (en een goede oven en kleine magnetron) hebt en geen vier, maar dat was vooraf al duidelijk. Wel is er een grote koelkast plus vriesvak (SMEG groot model), dus dat compenseert de eenvoudige kitchenette wel! Voor mensen die wat moeilijk ter been zijn: er zijn wel trappen en geen lift, en de douchecabine is wat klein (voor mij als man van 1,87m en 125 kilo zwaar was het net te doen. Wel is er een uitgebreide wastafel.

Weer een heerlijk verblijf

Wij zijn hier al vaker geweest. Het is er heerlijk rustig en wij wanen ons hier verder weg op vakantie dan we werkelijk zijn vanwege het prachtige landschap. Ook deze keer weer fijn gewandeld en in de buurt voldoende keuze om boodschappen te doen. Wat ook echt heel prettig is, is de stilte s nachts. Pas hier merk je hoeveel geluiden er toch nog zijn thuis in de stad. Ongestoord slapen, alsof je drie nachten in een krijgt. Helemaal opgeladen!

Het enige wat wij misten was een pan om in te kunnen bakken. Er zijn kookpannen, maar een eitje bakken kon dus niet. In het verleden was dit er wel dus ik vermoed dat die pan opgebruikt was en nog niet vervangen is

Un établissement très agréable

On a passé un trés bon week-end à Gut Kallerbend. Frank a été un hôte très gentil. Même si nous sommes arrivés après l'heure limite prévue, le check-in s'est déroulé très rapidement, sans aucun problème. Notre appartement était très bien équipé et confortable. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la propreté irréprochable. Le petit déjeuner était également exceptionnel.

Prima verblijf voor weinig geld in mooie omgeving.

Veel ruimte in het appartement. Stijlvolle jaren 60 inrichting. Direct wandelen of fietsen vanaf de locatie. Fraai uitzicht op omliggende bergen.

Voor wie van luxe houdt, is het waarschijnlijk te basic al met al. Elk uur een toeterende trein door het dal (i.v.m. onbewaakte spoorweg overgang voor het hotel).

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt in der Eifel - Gut Kallerbend

Sehr freundlicher Empfang. Spontan wurde noch ein von uns vorher nicht gebuchtes Frühstück ermöglicht. Unsere 2 Hunde waren sehr willkommen. Schlüsselübergabe und Rückgabe waren sehr unkompliziert. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Schön gelegene Ferienwohnungen am Fluss

Unsere Ferienwohnung hatte ein schönen und sehr großen Balkon, die Ausstattung war sehr gut und die Wohnung großzügig. Alles war sehr sauber und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Eine Zughaltestelle war in der Nähe und bis auf die Züge war es sehr ruhig, wunderbar an einem Fluss gelegen und sehr grün.

Das einzige was etwas störend war, waren die Züge die wegen eines unbeschranken Bahnübergangs vor dem Haus beim vorbeifahren in lautes Signal gegeben haben. ...aber nicht allzu schlimm.

Die Ferienwohnung war sehr schön eingerichtet mit wunderbarem Blick zum Wald und auf eine Wiese.

Wir sollten den Müll selbst entsorgen nach Verlassen der Wohnung. Ich finde, das sollte im Preis inbegriffen sein.

Super mooie locatie, meteen wandelen vanuit het appartement. Leuk terras! Heerlijk ontbijt en avondeten. Vriendelijke medewerkers. Zeker een aanrader om hier heen te gaan!!!

Een mooie lokatie op een schitterende plek.

Mooie plek met tuin aan een riviertje. Als de brug weer klaar is na de renovatie; is het een perfecte plek om gelijk in wandel en fietsgebied te komen. Schitterde fiets en wandeltochten daar gemaakt. Een elektrische fiets is soms wel erg handig ivm de hoogte verschillen. Vanuit Rath een wandelroute met prachtige rotsformatie. Goede verduistering in appartement dmv rolluiken. Goede bedden.

Door een hoogteverschil in de douche een paar keer bijna uitgegleden. Geen ventilator. Geen balkon. Maar je kan wel in de tuin zitten.

Pareltje!

Waar te beginnen.. Mooie locatie, heerlijke bedden, fijne keuken, lieve hosts, mooi riviertje in de achtertuin waar je lekker kunt zitten en pootjebaden, badkamer met alles erop en eraan, hele ruime parkeerplaats, goeie wijn en lekker bier. We hebben in ons eigen appartementje gegeten dus het restaurant kunnen we niet beoordelen. We hebben al beloofd om nog een keer terug te komen. Echt een heeeeeeeeele grote aanrader!
