ARTEMIS STUDIO - NAS

It’s difficult to describe Artemis Studios as just accommodation. It feels much more like the heart of Nas, with the family-run studios, restaurant, bar, pottery workshop and shop all creating a place where people naturally gather. Staying here became one of the highlights of our trip to Greece. We chose Nas for our first taste of Ikaria, and we’re so glad we did. We don’t drive, but taxis from Evdilos were inexpensive and there was an e-bike rental shop just a few steps away, making it easy to explore the island. The location couldn’t be better, right in the centre of this magical little village. The standout part of our stay was the wonderful hospitality. Afroditi made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. She was warm, friendly and genuinely interested in chatting about the area, our travel plans and life on Ikaria. You could see how proud she is of Artemis Studios, and her attention to detail really shows. She even let us wash our clothes one afternoon after we’d been travelling for several days, which was incredibly thoughtful. Before we left she surprised us with beautiful handmade ceramic fridge magnets as a thank you for staying – such a lovely personal touch. We also enjoyed chatting with her about the adorable beech martens we’d spotted running around Nas at night after seeing so many while cycling back on our e-bikes. The studio itself was spotlessly clean and felt recently renovated, especially the bathroom. It was compact but had everything we needed, including a very comfortable bed, excellent air conditioning, a fridge, kettle, crockery and cutlery, which meant we could prepare breakfast and lunch ourselves when we wanted to. There was even chilled water waiting in the fridge when we arrived, which was much appreciated after the long journey to Nas. Our favourite part of the room was the terrace.

When it comes to value for money, the accommodation offers excellent rooms with lovely views toward the Nas beach. The rooms are clean and equipped with basic amenities. The balconies are a treat

The internet connection is slow

My stay here was absolutely unforgettable. The location is nothing short of magical — perched right above Nas Beach, offering breathtaking views and the calming sound of the waves day and night. The owners are incredibly warm, kind, and welcoming. From the very first moment, they made me feel at home, always ready with a smile and helpful tips about the island. Their genuine hospitality truly made all the difference. The room was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully decorated, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. Waking up to the view of the sea every morning was pure bliss. If you’re looking for a place in Ikaria where you can feel both connected to nature and cared for like family, this is the spot. I can’t recommend it enough and will definitely be coming back!
