About this villa rental
Superb south facing detached villa with sea and mountain views, and less than 2.0km from Peniscola South Beach. Situated on the urbanisation of Nerea it has the benefit of not only our own private pool, but an additional communal pool. The Urbanisation has a French restaurant, with another communal pool for clients, which is add benefit.
With South facing terraces and balcony it has plenty of space to spread out and relax either in the sun or shade. There is also a ‘Chiringuito’ with BBQ area at the rear of the house which is very private.
The house is well equipped and comfortable, with linen included, together with air conditioning or central heating depending on the time of year. There is a smart TV in the lounge, giving access to the internet. Car Parking is either on the driveway or the street.
The villa is perfect for either a quite relaxing holiday with the life of the town close by or those who wish to be more active, there are plenty activities: walking in the natural park, cycling, swimming, jet ski hire, paddle boarding etc. There is a gymnasium in the town where they run various classes, spinning, pilates, zumba, body pump etc.
The Costa Azahar, know as the ‘Orange Blossom Coast has a superb climate, is bounded by Catalonia in the north and Valencia to the South. An area of great contrast and beauty, with stunning sea views, mountain ranges, traditional fishing villages, the Ebro Delta and natural parks. The popular tourist resorts of Peniscola, Vinaros and Alcossebre offer many fiestas, markets, bars and restaurants.
All along the coast there is a wide range of beaches from long sandy stretches, to quiet coves backed by natural parks and orange groves. Throughout the area there is much history and the inland mountain areas offering a wealth of variety from, walking, cycling, bird watching, to fishing along the Ebro.
If you want to visit the cities of Valencia, Taragona or Barcelona, the best option is to catch the train from the station at Benicarlo. There is also a bus from the town to Barcelona/Airport which is very useful.

Great hosts who were very helpful from day 1 in going out of their way to make our stay both enjoyable and relaxing. Sue recommended places to both visit and eat in and around the area of Peniscola.

Returning after 3 weeks in the most beautiful house, we can only give this house our warmest recommendation. Everything is as described and after a perfect and fast communication with Sue, we were welcomed my Marina and Pablo, who handed over the Keys and showed us the house. They were super nice and very helpful. Easy communication around arrival and departure, and they came by every week to clean the pool.
We were 2 adults and 2 +18 children and our Old English Bulldog. The main beaches does not allow dogs, but Sue had kindly left behind a map with suggested walks in the area with some coves, where we took our dog in the monings.
In the middle week our children ‘s friends came to stay with us for 1 week, but being 6 people in the house is no problem, as there is so much space.
The area in the back of the house with the barbecue is perfect for evening coziness and the balcony on top of the house which all 3 sleeping rooms could access offered a sceenic view of the Ocean and mountains. The main balcony facing the pool was enjoyed many hours during the day as it was providing shade from the Sun.
Our children enjoyed the huge pool which easily accomodated a lot of different pool gear like floaties.
From this house to the Castle it took approximately 25 minutes to walk and 10 eur to take a taxi back.
We also rented a boat at the Marina one day for 2 hours for EUR 145, which was fantastic.
We recommend a walk to the lighthouse, Torre Badum, it is a walk for around 2 km from the road. It is very uphill but the view from the lighthouse and the Nature park that surrounds it, is just fantastic.
The area around the Castle has many bars and restaurants with a fantastic view and many small shops.
Peniscola city has a variety of many great restaurants and in particular we can recommend the Italian Tagliatella where we had dinner multiple times and also the Mandarina Beach Club which has different menus and fusion food.
The main beaches are beautiful and perfect for families with smaller children as they are very shallow.
All in all a perfect holiday, and a house that we would love to return to.

La villa está situada al inicio de un parque natural y relativamente cerca de la playa. La limpieza es excepcional, tiene todos los útiles necesarios para tener una estancia completa y me gustaría agradecer a los gestores de propiedad, Marina y Pablo, la disponibilidad absoluta que muestran para cualquier necesidad que se pueda presentar. Lo único que sí me gustaría comentar a fin de que pudiesen mejorarlo es que el colchón de la habitación del medio está ya algo gastado y los somieres de las camas individuales hacen mucho ruido con el mínimo movimiento mientras duermes (darse la vuelta por ejemplo). Gracias Sue por proporcionarnos la posibilidad de pasar una semana de ensueño. Altamente recomendable.
