Once again, a very enjoyable experience!
The staff were very pleasant and courteous throughout my stay. I thoroughly enjoyed the meals i had and the service was excellent.

Quiet, comfortable and well appointed.
Not too far from Meadowbank area of Edinburgh, except during rush hour. It’s a quiet location next to a Dobbies garden centre which includes a Waitrose and various other outlets. We did not use the co-located restaurant.
It was clean and tidy with a good quality shower room and comfortable king sized bed. Storage was adequate for a two night stay.

Nice place, just needs some updating
Great location for exploring the area and nice to have a restaurant on hand.
Close to bus stops making it easy to get around.
Pleasant and helpful staff, clean rooms and areas , room serviced daily and towels and tea and coffee replenished .
Beds and pillows definitely need replacing as the bed is quite uncomfortable and the pillows extremely lumpy

Weekend Break
Good size room and bathroom
No opening window. Thermostat on AC won't go below 18degC. AC is noisy. Carpet needed cleaning. Noise from occupants above our room 103. Meal deal would be welcome for residents . A little fridge in the room would be useful

Reasonably priced, very comfortable, easy free parking. We would stay here again if visiting the area.
Well situated for the part of Edinburgh we were visiting and easy to find. Also right next door to a huge garden centre which was great for some Christmas shopping.
Nothing we didn’t like

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The location was perfect for our function. Plenty of parking spaces. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent.
We had a problem with our card key (at 1am in the morning) but it was soon rectified by the night staff

It was a very convenient place to stay for accessing the Park and Ride into the City.
The room size was very generous and it was great to have a restaurant on site as well as free parking. The main bed was very comfortable.
The extra bed was very firm.

Lovely hotel, great value for money and in a superb location.
The hotel is in a perfect location for visiting Edinburgh city. The reception booked a taxi for us which cost around £20 and showed us some amazing locations on a map for us to see during our visit. We were able to use Uber in the city back to our hotel which was £18.
The bus would have been very easy to use but we wanted to get there and back quickly.
The hotel is near two Morrison supermarkets and a seven minute drive from McDonald's and a shopping area.
The hotel staff were lovely and were very helpful and the hotel was clean and well presented.
We would definitely stay here again on our next trip.

very disappointed
Only had breakfast once very poor quality of items offered. Great location and the staff were very friendly and helpful
Shower was very mouldy and grouting needed changing. Room not hoovered properly. Such a shame because i come to this hotel at least once a year and i have also had my friends and family stay here a couple of times this year.

This is an expensive hotel and is no better than a travel lodge. The hallway carpet was threadbare and the carpet within
Its location.
The price. This property for one night cost £240 without breakfast included.

Breakfast was fab, also really enjoyed an evening meal

It was in a great location and ample for a wedding weekend.
It was well looked after, the restaurant/pub next door was excellent. The staff were, mostly, friendly and helpful. The car park was of a good size.
The WiFi was inconsistent (not just because of the 4-hour/unsafe element), it didn’t work in our rooms properly at any stage. The shower gel/hair wash was of poor quality. Even though the room was cleaned (well) as required, the milk jugs we’d been given in the first night remained for our full 4-day stay! It felt rather expensive for what it was.

Nice hotel, great food and bar, but poor sound insulation between floors.
Spacious room, clean, and comfy. The inn is great and food and staff were excellent.
Neighbor upstairs decided to walk around for what felt like all night. Super noisy which meant we had a terrible night’s sleep. Seems like poor sound insulation between floors. Too bad, since this was otherwise great.

Nice relaxing weekend.
Excellent choice of Hotel in a good location, easy bus ride to Edinburgh. The hotel is very clean with a pub right next door. What more could you want. There is also a Dobbies garden centre within walking distance, their cakes are amazing. We also visited Falkirk to see the kelpies and also the Falkirk Wheel.
I could not fault this hotel and will definitely stay again.
Not really a negative but as our room overlooked the car park we had to keep the curtains closed when the lights were on. Not sure if the windows had one way glass though, probably should have asked at reception.

Relaxing and very enjoyable. Looking forward to our next visit!
The staff and atmosphere are friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. As we have family nearby and we live in The Midlands we very much look forward to our stay at Innkeepers and breakfast and dinner at The Melville Inn.

Comfortable well located hotel.
Good size room, well located with good food available next door.
Bedroom windows could not be opened and the room became stuffy at night.

Good value for money, clean hotel and friendly staff.
Breakfast was lovely although had to pay extra for a croissant, which you don't anywhere else you go!
The lady on reception was very nice and helped us out on local questions.
It was a little on it's own but we should have done a little more research so our fault.

What's taken me so long to try the Melville!
The staff were excellent both in the hotel and in the restaurant next door. Our room was spacious, comfortable and had all the basic things we needed for a one night stay. The air con that cooled was a huge benefit and was very quiet during the night. Free parking, a lift and a great breakfast in the restaurant. I used to stay at a nearby competitor but will be staying here from now on when in the area.

I was not happy about the room not being cleaned
Very good breakfast
Our room was not cleaned on the 31st of May.
When I told the lady on reception she was surprised said sorry and brought us clean towels. There was no apology by anyone else!

Enjoyed my second stay here.
I have stayed at the hotel before (2 years ago), the venue, staff & location is ideal for me visiting family. Venue has comfortable beds.
I had requested a room on the first floor, but was allocated one on the ground floor. I like to have an open window, but this is not available.

A simple accomodation, nothing special, but its a bit pricey for what it offers
A regular hotel mainly for business trips. Really nothing special...
The staff was nice, and the room was comfortable and big.
We had no issues with hot/cold water, although we read it beforehand that some other people did.
Everything worked well, no major concerns, but also, nothing outstanding. Its a not a place that you recommend for any particular reason.
A simple accomodation.
Not amazing, but not bad.
It is way too expensive for what it offers. Although everything is expensive in Edinburgh.
It is quite far from the city center, and the bus stops in every 100 meters, so it took an hour to get to the city by public transport. There is nothing nearby, not a grocery store, nothing, so you bring your food or you are left with the only option: the resaurant next to the place, which is relatively overpriced. Plus british food is well known about its "interesting" taste... :D
The bus stop was also about 10 minutes away on foot, which is rather uncomfortable with luggages. Although, I guess we were the only guests who came by bus at that time.
As others wrote it, yes, the walls are thin, and we heard the kids crying sometime from the next door. Its not unbearable, just a bit uncomfortable. But thank God they were good kids, so they were only loud at late mornings.
None of these should be a reason to not to stay here, so for me these are relatively small issues... the only problem is, that I have booked really nice places with even seaview and outstanding service before, for this price, but its true, it wasnt in Edinburgh.
So, good luck and prepare your wallett, the city is expensive. :D
