Die Unterkunft hat eine phänomenale Lage, in einem Gässchen mitten in der Zitadelle. Uriger geht es kaum. Man macht die Fensterläden auf und erlebt Frankreich sofort hautnah. Schräg gegenüber ist die Eisdiele – perfekt! Der Ort Blaye lässt sich zu Fuß in Minuten erreichen, ein Abendspaziergang an den westlichen Mauerrand der Zitadelle zum Sonnenuntergang ist ein Muss! Der Blick über die Gironde ist traumhaft. Die Unterkunft ist gemütlich eingerichtet und hat alles, was man für den Aufenthalt braucht. Die Vermieterin ist aufgeschlossen und super nett – wir konnten lange mit ihr plaudern. Noch ein Tipp: Wer mit Fahrrädern anreist, sollte das im Vorfeld kundtun. Im angrenzenden Nebenhaus besteht eine sichere Abstellmöglichkeit!

Super location within the Citadelle. Ancient soldiers' barracks converted to a gite. And had a washing machine. Walkable to the river, good restaurants, and a nearby winery. Really wonderful host - warm and helpful.
