Saint Seurin De Cursac: House / Villa - Saint-Seurin-de-Cursac

This is a really nice property in a beautiful part of France and the local vineyard (about 50 yards down the road) produces excellent wine which we purchased. We did have some issues with our stay though. There seem to be 3 different sets of particulars: VRBO, an organisation beginning with A and the Owner’s own terms and conditions. They are all slightly different and this should be remedied to avoid discord: we refused to pay the large deposit required by the owner’s contract. The owner assured us that an unfenced garden would not be a problem with dogs but the key holder warned us that one neighbour was ‘bad’ (probable meant difficult!). Please put gates up between the gate posts and at the top of the steps. One of the downstairs beds collapsed and on inspection one could see that this wasn’t the first time (splintered wood and torn fabric), at the top of the stairs there is a wooden beam and if you are around 6 foot tall beware-you soon get used to it! The fire extinguisher in the kitchen was covered in dust, purchased in 2007 and with no record of inspection since then (a prudent move would be to replace the gas charge as it carries no pressure indicator) .

This is property is a hidden gem!! Fabulous house, clean has all amenities you require. Lovely hosts. We had a magical Christmas family holiday.will definitely be back. Thank you

We are so glad we booked this lovely house. The communication with Nathalie was excellent and any questions we had were answered promptly. The house is conveniently located, a few minutes from Blaye, the citadel and the ferry across the Gironde. There are too many places of interest to list but we would recommend Plassac where you can have a light lunch by the water, Talmont and Royan. We were really sad to leave this lovely house and giving each category 5 stars seems to be selling the property and communication short!
