We really enjoyed our stay in this special place. Close to Saint Remy and ideally located to discover the Provence. We loved the setting, the privacy and identity of this unique hideaway. The accommodation was super clean and was well equiped. Where it could improve is the provision of drinking water and the interior design to create a more homely and generous feel. I look forward to returning to this beautiful place.

Delightful small cabin a short distance from Saint Remy de Provence. Good value for money and a comfortable stay. Host was helpful in arranging access/handover and communication was good. I had not understood from the property listing that the water supply was not drinking water - perhaps this should be made clearer. Also, I had failed to realise fom the property descrition that there was no WiFi and this caused me some challenges. Perhaps I had not read the details carefully, as nowadays one tends to assume that internet access is available by default. All in all, a lovely property and I would be happy to visit again or recommend to others.

The property is good and has everything other than a/c - it can get a little warm and if it is still (no wind) bites are possible - we got bitten quite badly on the first night in the garden at dusk but once you work that out it’s easier to avoid.

If you want a rustic experience then this is for you. It is comfortable and has all you need however for us it needs to be a little more modernised. Of course that is the charm for some people. It was terribly hot and there was little space to store clothes or food we had brought. It is also a little far out of the town and a car is necessary for the evening if you want to venture into the town. The building itself is beautiful and the hosts were very easy to contact and most pleasant.

The property itself was as we expected but it was a little more rural and isolated than we’d imagined, a very long walk into St Remy. Maybe a little too rural for me but if you want seclusion it’s perfect! Accommodation is simple but very clean, with lots of outdoor space that our dog loved especially after 2 weeks of hotels! St Remy is a lovely Provençal town with lots of restaurants and nice shops.

This was a return visit to this delightful property, its isolation and simplicity suit us as a couple....not to mention the space for near daily badminton and frisbee playing. we visited a few local sites, but our main objective this year was to relax....objective achieved we forget the check out date! Claude arrived to do the usual post/pre guest clan and we were still relaxing on the recliners, OPPS Claude was very reassuring and calm, one phone call later we had booked in to a local hotel and the car was efficiently and quickly packed. All that we forget were a couple of phone chargers which have been saved until we return next year. Thank you Nadine, Giles and Claude.

The property was just as advertised - tucked away in a private location with plenty of space around it. Accommodation consists of bedroom area, kitchen and shower room in a cool stone building. External private paved area to one side, plus open paddock/grass space with gravelled area and plenty of room. Parking right next to property. If you expect to be pampered, this is not for you, but we have had a wonderful time making our own meals in the evening with locally bought produce [we brought some useful herbs and spices with us, but everything else one might need for summertime Mediterranean-style food preparation is locally available - there are local shops of course, but if in any doubt, visit the giant Leclerc at Arles] The internal space is 'intimate', suitable for a couple who share everything, but if you get on well this is not a problem at all. If you enjoy getting out and about and appreciate looking at historical sites and absorbing the great local Provençal 'atmos' then there is plenty to do without too much travelling. If you are happy with home-prepared seafood, salads etc and eating outside to the sound of cicadas then this could well be the place for you [there are many restaurants in the town too]. we walked to the Roman town of Glanum just outside St. Remy on our first day, and Avingion, Arles, Nimes, Tarascon plus other attractions are all within about 30mins drive. the Camargue is not much further. St. Remy itself [20min walk if you wish to avoid car use] is a thriving tourist-friendly town with a busy market on Wednesdays. We greatly enjoyed our stay - one point to note is lack of internet access at the property - but many local establishments do have Wi-Fi.

The house is simply furnished but located in a beautiful, quiet place just 5 minutes from the centre of Saint Rémy. Garden was just perfect for our dog! You can also have breakfast or dinner outside under the trees. We enjoyed very much waking up every morning to the symphony of birds and the sound of cicadas. We didn't have the chance to meet Gilles but his friend Claude was very kind and helpful. We had a perfect vacation!

Voor deze woning gekozen vanwege de afstand tot het centrum van st. Remy. Volgens de verhuurder een paar honderd meter, maar dat was wel een paar kilometer. Omdat ik verder geen vervoer had (geen auto -geen fiets) was dat wel jammer. En ergens in "de kleine lettertjes" staat iets over "eau non potable". dat had wat mij betreft er ook wel iets duidelijker mogen staan.

En octobre, l'appartement manque de chaleur et de confort. Il manque un ou deux fauteuils, les 2 lits jumeaux, même côte à côte restent des lits séparés ( pas glamour). Il n'y a pas de TV, ni de radio, et... très peu de réseau! Faut pas oublier de quoi lire. Dommage que la cheminée ne fonctionne pas. La SdB est sommaire, la douche à l'italienne inonde tout car le rideau est trop court. Et le système de pompe pour l'evacuation des eaux usée fait un bruit d'enfer. Dommage de ne pas l'avoir installé a l'exterieur dans l'appenti qui existe. En conclusion, l'endroit est magnifique, presque feerique, mais manque de confort pour la saison froide. Mais c'est certainement genial en été.

Agencement et ameublement simplistes mais suffisant. Dommage que la pompe du puits soit dans la maison car elle fait beaucoup de bruit. Son emplacement au calme, à 5 mn en voiture, 10 mn en vélo ou 30 mn à pied du centre ville est idéal pour se reposer et se détendre. Notre golden retriever à pu profiter du grand terrain qui est éloigné de la route.

Nicely located a bit outside of the town, in a green surrounding. The house is very simple but thanks to its efficient layout it has everything you need. We spent most of our time outside in the garden, which is wonderful to disconnect. The only slight downside is on a rainy day the cabanon doesnt have much natural light and is rather dark - a skylight or slightly more generous windows/openings towards the garden could help. We really enjoyed it and hope to go there again at some point in the future.

Nous avons passé une semaine très reposant, et malgré la chaleur Du mois d août le gîte est toujours resté frais et agréable. Il y a tout ce qu’il faut dans le gîte, le terrain est très agréable Et bien ombragé, notre chien a adoré y gambader ( sous surveillance car le terrain n’est pas fermé). Nous recommandons !

L'isolation totale dans un périmètre plus que suffisant. un petit cabanon avec juste ce qu'il faut de confort. Pas de télé, pas de wifi pendant une quinzaine quel pied. Tout a été déjà dit...Gite joli et confortable. La pompe peut être coupée la nuit pour éviter le bruit. Peut-être faudrait-il l'afficher... Plaque électrique peu utilisable, à renouveler. Absence de wi fi et télé largement compensée par le calme et l'espace extérieur. Proche de St Rémy et des sites remarquables de la Provence. Satisfaits dans l'ensemble.

... quand la pompe de surpression de l'alimentation en eau, située dans la cuisine, se met en route sur tirage de la chasse d'eau au milieu de la nuit, la première fois ça surprend... ;) Cette installation aurait mieux sa place à l'extérieur. A part cela gîte très agréable, très bien tenu, parfait quand on aime la tranquillité et la nature. 15-20mn à pied du centre ville et de ses restaurants. 15-20mn en voiture des Baux-de Provence Nous avons apprécié et recommandé à des proches.
