Apartments Floriańska 24 by MB Apartments

The location was excellent

It was a little noisy/loud during the late hours.

The apartment was very clean, central and well equipped, very spacious and comfortable. Underfloor heating on the bathroom was very convenient. Owner was always very helpful when we asked for assistance.

We were in the top floor (attic) and had no windows overlooking the street except for two small attic windows at floor level and skylights which could be opened for air circulation. There is no lift in the apartment block.

Some missing things. Like no curtains on the windows, missing off lights near the beds and missing possibility to across the towels inside the bathroom. Most of all it was impossible to communicate with the staff. I have sent more than 4 messages without response.

The location of the property was very good being central in the Old Town to all the nearby attractions, shops, restaurants and bars. The Apartment (14) was very spacious with two double bedrooms, one with en suite a large kitchen/dining/living area and separate bathroom with Shower. The kitchen had all the basic appliances and utensils but no toaster which we had to request and one was provided within 48 hours. There was a plentiful supply of crockery and cutlery, glasses and cups.

There are approx. 46 steps (mix of old slippery wood and polished marble) leading from the ground floor to the second floor apartment. Leading from the hallway, there was a rickety wooden walkway to the Apartment 14 at the far end in an type of enclosed area surrounded by decaying buildings so not very sightly at all. One entering the apartment, there is a ground floor double bedroom with en suite, you then have 20 internal steep wooden stairs (half of which are very steep and slippery) which access the first floor in the apartment where the other double bedroom is and then more steps to the duplex Kitchen/Dining and Living area and separate bathroom. For anyone not of good health then this apartment is NOT for them as so many steps which are not fully highlighted on the Booking.com details and there is NO lift so be aware of this. The bathrooms were basic with sink, shower and toilet in each. The shower in the upper bathroom was in need of some attention as was leaking and was stained around the exterior tiles and frame. The kitchen was okay, in that it had a fridge freezer (damaged on the outside), a microwave/grill (no oven), a ceramic hob with overhead extractor fan, coffee machine, kettle and eventually a toaster was provided following requesting one. There was no plug in the sink as MB Apartments advised that as there is a dishwasher then a plug is not necessary ( I beg to differ). The kitchen sink and microwave/grill was very dirty on arrival and then someone was sent to clean this, having complained. The two double bedrooms were vary basic with one having a free standing wardrobe which was damaged at the rear and the other with fitted wardrobes and separate chest of drawers in each. The bedding was very poor with over used sheets on the quilts and old pillow cases which didn't give much comfort. The beds were not very comfortable either. Some TV's worked and others didn't so not so good. No waste bins other than in Kitchen.
