Vorto House

We stayed at Vorto House for 10 days in July 2022. It's a pleasant, cozy, spotlessly clean place with a very nice courtyard, where one can hang out in the shade during the heat of the day and cool off under the stars at night. Iannis, the owner is a wonderful host, with a great style and great stories of his 200-year old house. Xristina, the lady who comes over every second day to clean up and make the beds is also a very nice, helpful person. We loved the village, Agios Leon as well, paying daily visits to the loveliest family-run cafe down the road (with the inimitable Diamantina in charge), the neighboring bakery, and the minimarket run by an affable Greek-Canadian. Admittedly, the village is not exactly close to the more popular areas of the island, but having rented a car, this has caused us no trouble, and we loved the beaches nearby.

Everything on this property is insanely nice. The house by itself, the decor, the location and the host's hospitality exceeded our expectations. The host made our stay in Zakynthos and overall our trip in Greece.

In the calm small village of Agios Leon this old perfectly and recently rennovated charming house is a refreshing resource at the end of a day at sea. Iannis has been a fantastic owner, welcoming us in a warm way and with a lot of useful information . A good , not touristic, genuine Greek taverna is available at just 3 minutes walk from vorto house.we loved the seducing rural atmosphere of this village far from crowds .

The best place at the island!,We had a wonderful time in vorto house!! A cozy traditional place with a perfect yard. All the family was very kind and gave us information about visiting the best spots at the island. Christina kept the house very clean and offerd us some traditional products. We would love to stay at vorto house again and again!
