About this house rental

The cottage is located on Indian Point, a small private community within a 400 acre land preserve of woods, beaches, bays , tidal sand flats, majestic rock promontories and spectacular views. Guests enjoy access to several sandy beaches and miles of nature trails.
The cottage is set off the main road and offers plenty of privacy. Steps from the cottage is a beautiful sandy beach on a inlet perfect for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding or fishing off the near by rocks. From the cottage and beach, you’ll see amazing views of the the Atlantic and classic Maine views of pine tree covered Islands, majestic light houses and rocky coves littered with colorful lobster buoys.

The cottage itself is great for a small family or a romantic getaway. It is well equipped, clean and very well maintained. The cottage interior is all natural pine with a stone fireplace. The open kitchen/dining/ living room area overlooks the beach and spectacular views.

Indian Point is at the southern most tip of Georgetown Island. Other Georgetown attractions include ,Georgetown Pottery and several artists' galleries. A little farther down the road, twenty minutes away is the historic town of Bath with its many wonderful shops and restaurants as well as the Maine Maritime Museum. Just a half hour drive away is the town of Brunswick with many shops and galleries as well as Bowdoin College with it’s museum, theatre and other activities. For more sightseeing and activites, Portland and Boothbay Harbor are both only an hour drive away.

There is no better place for vacation.... anytime from April through November!

Everything about this property is heavenly. From the old cottage (which is so cozy!) to the location, it all blends together for the perfect oasis! This was our second stay and trust me when I say, both times we didn’t want to leave and felt like we left a little piece of ourselves each time. Thank you Nora & Cliff for sharing your little slice of heaven with us!

Another wonderful time at the point. Norah and Cliff are great hosts and loved the time on the beach, climbing the rocks, hiking or just relaxing and reading on the screened in porch. Proximity to Five Islands is a plus with unlimited lobster and clams.
