Our lovingly renovated Fisherman's cottage is in the picturesque village of Balintore, Easter Ross. 8 1/2 has been extended to offer luxury holiday accommodation. Situated in the historic centre of this Highland village, the cottage retains its original charm yet comes with modern facilities and offers a real Scottish Highland home from home. The cottage is located on a quiet side street and is an excellent place to relax while you explore the Highlands. The charming village pub and hotel are just a short walk away. Accommodation is on two floors and the property has views across the village to nearby Nigg hill. Outside, there is a large rear garden with lawn, barbecue and seating.

We had a wonderful stay at fishermans cottage. Greeted with home made banana bread and milk in the fridge for a much needed cuppa! The house is incredible, real home from home we didnt want for anything! Super clean, loved the fluffiness and fresh smelling towels! So much bigger on the inside than the front of the house. Only thing i would say is to put on more pictures on Vrbo. The few just dont do it justice! We have recommended it to many of our friends and family.

What an amazing cottage, cosy, comfortable and so well quipped - all you could think of and more!It is well placed in the village near the harbour, beautiful Shandwick Bay...and the well stocked Spar.There are Pictish Stones nearby and the nearby Seaboard Hall serves delicious breakfasts and lunches. It is opposite The Mermaid of the North statue and also Three Salmon.The Discovery Centre at Portmahomack sa good visit and the Glenmorangie Distillery in Tain

We had the great pleasure of staying in a beautifully decorated house in a lovely area. The house is equipped with everything you need - and even more. The attention to detail and the cozy atmosphere made us feel immediately welcome.A particular highlight was the delicious welcome cake that the host's daughter baked for us - a wonderful gesture that sweetened the start of our vacation.David, the host, is incredibly friendly and attentive. You can tell that the well-being of his guests is very important to him.We really enjoyed our time there, felt completely at ease and will definitely be back. The cottage in Balintore is the perfect base for visiting the northern highlands route NC500 by car. The cottage is very large, all You need is available, hosts are so kind, and friendly, we recommend that cottage completely. It was our first visit in scotland at all, we love country and people.

We had a fabulous time in Balintore and the surrounding area. 8 1/2 John St was a great find. The house was excellent and much bigger than photographs suggest. Very comfortable and banana loaf and milk in fridge when we arrived was much appreciated. Lots of great walks along beautiful beaches and lovely local towns within easy drive. Would definitely recommend the house and the area.

The description of the property was perfect. From the comfort of the beds, bathroom facilities, right through to excellent kitchen facilities and comfort of the living room. This cottage could not have offered more complete comfort. Located off the beaten track. It was easy to get to from the A-9 and offered a perfect base to travel the complete Highlands. If golf was your thing, there were many excellent courses within close proximity. We would highly recommend this Balintore cottage to anyone looking for an extended stay in Scotland.

The Cottage is in a quaint coastal fishing village. I can understand why guests would stay for multiple weeks. Everything that you need is here. Perfect location to visit various areas of the Highlands within a hour or so. The Balintore Inn was delicious, be sure to book in. The local pub was cozy, with a pool table. You can enjoy a short walk to the beach or enjoy the patio at the cottage. Christel is a top notch host and we highly recommend staying with her.

Christal and David are outstanding hosts. We rented for two months, an adventure for all of us. We love the small quiet village of Balintore and the town of Tain. Tain has all the necessaries, grocery, restaurants, bus service. The house was lovely and comfortable, beyond our expectations. We would come again if possible.

What can I say? We had a fantastic stay from start to finish. A beautiful home with more than enough space for 2 children and 4 adults. We'll equipped with everything you may need. Just 1 minute walk to the local beach which is beautiful. Lovely cafe and bar nearby and just 10 minutes drive to Tain. We loved our stay. Thank you and we hope to return soon!

We were super impressed with the cleanliness and quality of the cottage It exceeded our expectations Absolutely every that we required was provided for as well as some very welcome extras, like the treats for our arrival. Christal was super welcoming and accommodating. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending this lovely cottage to anyone. As a group of 4, very fussy 60+ year olds who have stayed in many cottages together, we can honestly say that this was right up there with the best in the price range.

We had a super stay in this cottage. It was comfortable, spotlessly clean and very well-equipped. The owner, Christel, was very friendly and quick to respond to any queries about the property. Little touches like the welcome pack of milk, sausages, wine and freshly baked banana bread, was much appreciated. I can honestly say that it is one of the best holiday cottages I have stayed in and it was perfect for exploring the east coast area of Scotland and it’s beautiful beaches.

Good location for exploring the north east of Scotland. Owner Christel met us and made sure everything was ok. Milk, tea, coffee and cake was very welcome on arrival. Cottage was well equipped. Local sandy beach was within walking distance. Really enjoyed our stay.
