The hotel is in a pretty, quiet neighborhood a 6-7 minute walk from Ito Station. Our room was very large, with a beautiful raised Japanese-style section with tatami mats, futons and buckwheat pillows, a low table, and really lovely furnishings, and another section with couch seating, table, and fantastic floor-to-ceiling views of the city and toward the ocean. The unique onsens are not to be missed. It was a treat to be able to use the private ones simply by waiting for when they became available. The staff was very friendly, accommodating, and totally on top of things. There is a supermarket a short way down the street in the direction of the train station, as well as nearby convenience stores and restaurants. We would love to stay here again.

One of us found the futon/buckwheat pillow bedding very comfortable, while the other one of us found it very uncomfortable. The breakfast included locally-sourced delicious ingredients, but it was difficult to know what some of the prepared dishes were with our limited Japanese/kanji knowledge. Although we loved the deep bathtub in the room, this area looked older, and the hot water was slow to come (there is a sign alerting you to this), but the communal showers and onsens more than made up for this.
