La Romarine is perched on a hillside overlooking the village and the sea at a distance of 3 km from the village centre. A shuttle bus service provides free transport between the bottom of the hill and the village centre throughout the summer, from 9:00 am to 1:00 am.
There are many activities in and around the village such as sailing, water sports, diving, hiking, mountain biking, horse riding, climbing, canoe, kayak, the beach and the casino.
There is also a wide choice of restaurants in the village itself and in the area.
The apartment is air conditioned and heated, and includes a bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen and an en-suite bathroom with toilet and shower. Panoramic view of the sea from the apartment and the private terrace.

Asian with the Owner was excellent and they keep a beautiful little place for a little getaway by the beach. Array from all the hustle and bustle of downtown so a great place to relax while enjoying a spectacular view of the ocean. If it is available another time I would definitely go back.

We had a lovely time here. The location is central so it’s easy to visit wineries and go to the beach or into old town. Amenities are simple. Alan was easy to work with and we would stay here again. Merci Alan!

Alan very welcoming and friendly and nice welcome bottle of wine and toiletries. Kitchen and bathroom well fitted but some updating needed in the property. TV OK if you are fluent in French. A good sized kitchen bin but it would have helped if some information on refuse disposal and recycling were included in the welcome information. He was right to warn that a car is essential as the property stands in a housing development on a hill about 2 miles out of the town. There is free parking and a reasonably priced bus into town every day but car needed for the half mile hill to get to it, but it saves unavoidable parking charges if you drive into town. Don't be confused by the promotion of a shuttle in peak season only - it runs as an ordinary service bus through the year.

Everything about this property was just as it said on the tin-if better. The kitchen was very well equipped and we managed to work all the French appliances without difficulty. The air con, which we turned on in the evening to provide heat was very efficient. Plenty of hot water, lovely shower and the terrace was wonderful. Even in early March we were able to have every breakfast and lunch on the terrace, or out and about. Alan was very attentive and although he lives on site was never intrusive. He checked that all was OK half way through our stay. Cassis was a bit of a disappointment. The roads are narrow and quite complicated to find your way around. Parking was not easy and we used a small multi storey car on one occasion. At the weekend it became extremely busy with huge numbers of motor bikes and cyclists. Having said that the Provencal market was lovely-it even had a skating rink! In season these issues could easily be avoided by using the shuttle bus service which stops outside the gite. It is too far to walk in to Cassis and the accomodation is up a very steep hill. This does mean the views are stupendous. We walked directly from the apartment onto a well marked footpath and other walks along the Grande Randonnes are not far away by car. The train station at Cassis is only 5 minutes drive away so we used trains to get us to Marseille, La Ciotat and Bandol. The latter was a very nice laid back town with lovely squares and restaurants along the marina. Nothing better than moules et frites on a pavement cafe in the sun! We came back having had one of the most relaxing holidays ever. We would thoroughly recommend it. We will be back.

The description of the apartment corresponded perfectly with what we found. Not in the center of Cassis but not so far from it, A very quite position and a great view of the sea from the terrace. This last was great at breakfat or dinner time. Perfect for those seeking a base for touring between Marseille, the creeks, the Provence or the Camargue. Both the owner by emails or phone and the manager on place provided a kind support. We were four people (parentes and children) and we would recommend this apartment to other travellers.

This lovely appartment with a fantastic view is the perfect setting for a quiet gettaway, whether that be with friends or a romantic break. The house is fully equipped with a great Kitchen fully stocked with utensiles (so bring along ingredients), comfly living room and and small but cosy bedroom. I'd fully recommend bring a laptop to take advantage of the free wi-fi in order to better plan any day/night trips. The owener - Alan and his daugther and Son in-law were fantastic during our stay. We unfortunately had our hire car broken in whilst out on a scenic drive near La Ciotat and my girlfirend lost quite a few valuable possesions. Alan and his family offered ample support even provided transalations to the Police which we are mostgreatful for. Don't let this unfortunate incident deter you from visiting though. A little extra viginlance if you plan to hire a car is all that is required and do not whether car is looked or not, leave anything in the car when parked on any of the scenic drives. Anyone planning to stay should take time to chat to Alan. He has losts of great advise on where to go and what to do! With the exceptional of the car break-in it was a fantastic holiday which was very relaxing occupied with good beaches, great food, scenic drives & walks and friendly locals which was supported by a fantastic base (this little cosy appartment with a fantastic view).

We were really sorry when our stay at La Romarine came to an end. The apartment has an exceptionally nice ambiance with the advantage of a private garden and appealing views of the sea. You look down to the water from the height of the terraces from three rooms in the apartment and the view from the bedroom, where the sea is framed by French shutters, is particularly impressive. Apart from enjoying La Romarine as a comfortable base from which to explore Cassis, we thought its practical advantages were outstanding. It is very spacious, generously equipped, well designed and has good quality Internet access. The assistance provided to us by the owner was fantastic and we really appreciated his thoughtfulness. We would be very interested in returning to La Romarine for a holiday in the future. On a general note there is much to explore in and around Cassis and if you want to take the challenge out of wayfinding, a navigation device is helpful.

En novembre, c'est le top, quelque peu excentré de Cassis, la location a tout ce qu'il faut pour passer un moment agréable, la vue est le point fort du lieu, Certes la route passe en-dessous, on a rien sans rien... Amie, enfants, moi, tout le monde fut ravie de l endroit, le propriétaire n'est pas du tout envahissant, c'est simple, on ne la pas croisé du séjour, à notre arrivée, une bouteille de rosé du coin nous attendait sur la table de la cuisine. Bref j'y retournerai sans hésitation Hors saison car peut être qu'en pleine été, c'est plus sportif et compliqué pour profiter de Cassis, le but pour nous était la rando dans les calanques et la famille au alentours, nous étions donc au top. D'abord la vue à couper le souffle sur la mediterrannée ! Les cigales des le matin, un appartement très sympathique pour 2 personnes avec tout le confort et surtout la clim, car la canicule est assez lourde cette année! Cassis centre a 5 minutes! Très jolie petit port et les splendides calanques a 2 pas! Bref que du bonheur! Alan a été très accueillant! Merci encore pour ce séjour de reve!

4 jours (seulement) passés à Cassis et environs en couple. Arrivée possible dès 13H30 pour profiter d'une 1/2 journée supplémentaire sur place une fois installés. Alan : discrétion et gentillesse le caractérisent. La location : très bien équipée, avec vue très appréciable sur la Grande Bleue de la petite terrasse. Possibilité de garer le véhicule (indispensable) dans la propriété (avec quelques manœuvres). Appréciable... Séjour très agréable avec beau temps et douceur. Nous avons aimé.

Location en tous points conforme au descriptif . confortable, chaleureuse, calme, avec une vue splendide sur la garrigue et la mer . du 26 décembre au 02 janvier la météo nous prédisait de la pluie, nous n'avons eu que du beau temps ! Les propriétaires sont charmants, discrets, attentionnés . Une boîte de chocolats nous attendait dans la location à l'arrivée. Point non négligeable pour la région, la possibilité de se garer à l'intérieur de la propriété. En en mot comme en cent, nous avons passé une semaine superbe en cette fin d'année 2015. Encore merci à Alan et son épouse .

Heel mooi gelegen maar niet onderhouden. Eigenaar was er niet manager ook niet. Onthaald door ?? Wel gemaild door de eigenaar maar die zat in het hoge Noorden.Tuin vol onkruid. En het appartement amaai! Ik heb stofallergie en daar lag wat stof ! Honden mogen mee die van ons is ook mee geweest. Maar vlooien niet te doen. We stonden beiden vol beten met uitzondering van de hond want die was behandeld. Vaatwas loopt uit! Bed ondersteund door betonnen blok.Kerlkast muur volschimmel?Badkamer vol schimmel. Ja alles had daar een goede poetsbeurt nodig en een vlooienbestrijding. Zijn vroeger vertrokken want hadden 2 weken geboekt.jammer want de locatie is super!

Nous nous garderons un assez bon souvenir des 15 jours passées dans ce logement. Nous souhaitons apporter des précisions qui nous semblent importantes : Points positifs : - vue de la terrasse absolument magnifique - appartement coquet et bien aménagé. - jolie cuisine provençale bien équipée (un peu sombre cependant). - Jolie salle de bain - Accès wifi Nous avons apprécié qu'Alan nous permette de nous installer vers 13 h 30 (les locataires précédents étant partis la veille). Points négatifs : - literie (deux couchages) peu confortables. - Portail et allée/jardin côté location peu soignés - Pas de parking à proximité - Nuisances sonore liées à la configuration des lieux : l'appartement se trouve sous la terrasse et la piscine des propriétaires. Nous avons été franchement gênés : dans l'appartement lui-même par les bruits de chaises trainées sur la terrasse assez tôt le matin et jusqu'assez tard le soir ; sur la terrasse par les voix fortes des convives permanents (famille ou amis des propriétaires) en particulier au moment des repas.
