Hokulani 838 is an incredible top-floor "penthouse" one-bedroom suite boasting some of the best partial ocean views available among the one-bedrooms at Honua Kai. In addition, this vantage point also offers views of the West Maui Mountains. You will have plenty of space to relax in the 700 sq ft interior. To fully enjoy the warm Hawaiian breeze, fold away the glass doors to allow the relaxing interior to blend seamlessly with the outdoors.
When it's time to rest, the gentle Maui breeze will lull you into deep slumber in the primary bedroom's king-size bed. If needed, the sofa converts to a queen-size bed to accommodate an extra guest or two. The living room and primary bedroom both have a flat-screen television if you want to catch your favorite show before you drift off.
We encourage you to express your culinary creativity in the well-appointed kitchen. The space is fully equipped with stainless steel Bosch appliances and granite countertops, and we have provided every appliance and utensil to prepare the perfect meal or refreshment... just bring the ingredients. Enjoy your meals on the spacious lanai or dine indoors in the climate-controlled air conditioning. In addition, our commercial-grade Vitamix blender lends itself well to preparing creative libations or smoothies with fresh local produce.

We love staying on this property, the amenities are great, with Duke's onsite and several pool options available. the staff was friendly onsite and the support from Maui Vacation Rentals was very responsive. this particular condo was well cleaned and decorated well, the partial ocean view was mainly viewable from the lanai, with a little view from the bedroom. we saw whales breaching in the morning of our stay from the lanai.

Beautiful location very accommodating clean. The only problem is the dryer does take a little bit longer to dry items, but knowing that we just planned ahead. Would highly recommend staying here beautiful opportunity.

Gorgeous property, perfect location and all around great time. Pools are perfect and beach access is fantastic for a dip in the ocean. Looking forward to returning!

Excited about our trip and arrived to face a two hour delay in getting access to our room. It had been a long trip and my wife was not feeling well, so it made it even more difficult. When we got into the room we discovered an overpowering smell of deodorizer - I don’t know if that’s standard practice or if they were trying to cover up the musty smell of the tired, filthy and stretched out carpet or what - too much carpet by the way for a beachfront condo. View from the balcony was nice - but we really couldn’t enjoy it because of the construction going on directly below us - 80 or so low rise new units being worked in from 6a until about 4pm every day - listing didn’t disclose that. Beach not much to talk about - very narrow and steep. Pools - of which there were four - were univiting because of how cloudy they were and how much sand there was - no pool cleaning took place during our five day stay. Lastly, the elevators. Two served the tower we were in and one was out of service after the first day - 10 minute waits to get up or down to the eighth floor. This unit is tired and needs a refresh, and the Honua Kai is a very “family friendly” place meaning that the pools are overrun with unsupervised children. Things that you need to know before you go. We’ll stay elsewhere next time. By the way, the “advertised daily price” for this unit is significantly more than represented in the listing when you add all the fees and cleaning etc etc etc. Ceteris paribus...
