About this apartment rental

This ski apartment has a modern comfortable feel and has all the facilities you would expect including separate bedroom with bunks, DVD, dishwasher and full size oven, hob and fridge freezer. There is also a separate hall where you can remove your ski boots etc. The apartment is situated on the first floor and away from the lifts and also faces away from the road so there is no passing traffic. The balcony is south west with panoramic views of the Alps. The apt is approx 23 sq metres. There is direct access from the ski locker to the main slopes giving easy ski in and out. The Sports Centre, Shopping, Bars and Restaurants are a 2 minute walk, the bus station and secure car parking are also a 2 minute walk. The Ski School meeting point is also close by, approx 5 mins. Free WiFi also available.

Helen was very responsive whenever I had a question. The flat was good size for 2 and had a full kitchen. The shower strength and temp were great too! Some considerations - you will need to bring your own single bed sheets, single duvet covers, pillow sheets, hand towels and bath towels. Helen provides duvet, pillow and mattresses. I wasn’t used to packing this along with me so just something to note, also, I don’t own any single bed sheet and duvet covers so had to make do with the doubles I owned. I think there is an option to rent these too if you want but I don’t know how much additional cost that’d be- there are basically only single beds, there is a bunk bed that can sleep 2 individual (not recommend if you are taller than average). Then secondly, the couch in the living room can be turned to two more single beds of different heights. So if you are travelling with your partner, please note you won’t actually be able to sleep side by side. My partner and I stacked 3 single mattresses on top of one another to get around this but it still isn’t directly side by side- there is a 200 deposit to send directly to Helen before you will receive the code for the key. It’s a bit dodgy as not sent via Vrbo but she sent this back to me once I’ve confirmed I’ve checked out and sent photos of a clean flat (side note: the flat is cleaned and maintained by guests) - the flat had a weird stale/ sweat smell. We tried opening windows and sprays but couldn’t really get rid of it

Apartment located centrally in Val Thorens, 2 mintes walk to Galleria and main street with shops, Spar and restaurants. 1 minute walk to nearest piste access- good access to lifts from here. Apartment well equipped and homely, nice balcony looking out onto valley. 2 x bunk in side room- decent size. 1 x sofa bed spit for 2 people in living room, good size living room with kitchen. Bathroom good size with shower and dishwasher. Enjoyed our stay and would book again.

This Val Thorens apartment was perfect! Ski-in/ski-out access was a dream, and the location couldn't be better – close to restaurants and shops. The apartment itself was well-equipped with great storage and a fantastic shower. The host was incredibly helpful and responsive. Highly recommend!

The apartment was great, clean and well located. However the owner demanded we transfer her 200 directly as a deposit which wasn’t mentioned in the listing (but was returned after we left) and then aggressively threatened to cancel our booking when I asked if we could do it through VRBO rather than direct transfer. They also don’t have a cleaner in between stays, so you have to do a full clean before leaving. Lastly, bed linen/towels are not provided but you can hire them locally. Other than this, the place was great.

Overall a fantastic stay. The apartment had everything we needed for a week trip and there was enough for the two of us. Plenty of fridge and freezer space to stock up on food and drink, oven and hobs, and a good shower. The location was excellent, right by the bus station which is perfect if you don't want to drag your cases far in the snow. From the ski locker it's a very short walk to then ski out and down to the ski schools and chair lifts. It's also easy to get back with a gondola that ends just a short walk from the building. I would highly recommend this apartment, for the price and location you cannot fault it.

We really enjoyed our stay - we were with 4 adults and that fitted just fine. Small but cosy. The apartment is centrally located, with a balcony to enjoy the afternoon sun. Kitchen and bathroom is very well equiped. Recommended!

Stayed here last week with my partner and we absolutely loved it and would highly recommend. The apartment was clean and tidy upon arrival. There was plenty of room for both of us. The oven and 4 hobs made it an easy job cooking dinner after a hard days skiing, the full size fridge freezer meant storing any food, bought from the nearby supermarket, was trouble-free. Location of apartment was excellent, only a 2 minute walk from one of the main streets of VT- with a shopping centre and restaurants. Ski in ski out was as easy as described on the listing. Owners were very responsive and informative, will definitely be staying again.

Lovely place to stay. Well located, clean and very helpful and supportive hosts. Compact but fine for family of 4. We were 3 so plenty of room. Lovely sunny balcony. Nice to have a proper oven & 4 hotplates rather than the usual microwave and 2 hotplates. Full size fridge freezer and dishwasher also welcome. Ski from the door and a 20m walk back from Cairn lift to return, and a 2 min walk to shops/bakery for the morning bread run, so very conveniently located. Final touch - the hosts provide a UK 4 gang extension lead with a french plug so no fighting over the adapters when everyone's devices need charging at the same time! Will definitely be back...

The property is bright and clean, it is a compact place as you expect from a ski apartment but is well furnished and suited the 3 of us. It is close to the main centre of the resort and close to a key link lift and run. There is a TV and DVD player with a great selection of movies. We had a lovely family holiday.

We spent a week skiing at Helen’s apartment in Val Thorens. If you’re self catering this is one of the best appointed apartments with a proper oven and full fridge. We were lucky to enjoy 4 days of amazing weather and long days of hard skiing - we also enjoyed the vast selection of DVDs that were there for us to enjoy after those long days! We were 2 adults and although the property sleeps 4, I think 4 adults would need to be very good friends as (like with other apartments in the resort) they are quite cosy! As the apartment does not provide any linens we ended up forgetting items such as hand towels and tea towels. For that reason if driving the apartment would be more ideal as we had limited space in our luggage for our bed linen and towels. It would also be much easier to be able to bring more foods for the week instead of shopping at the mountain supermarkets, but that was our travel choice this time! Helen was really communicative and accommodating with the changing travel rules which was helpful to ease the stress of booking a holiday during COVID. We had an easy handover of the keys and when we had questions on arrival Helen responded quickly. Overall a great value apartment for exploring an incredible ski area.

Great location. Genuine ski out. Ski back to within 25 meters. Close to amenities - shops, restaurants and a few bars but in a quiet area so not disturbed by nightlife. Well equipped apartment with everything you would want for your stay. By French standards it’s more than adequate for 4 people. With only 2 of us staying a week the apartment felt quite palatial! Helen and Phil easy to deal with. Would stay again and recommend to friends.

Quite basic but great location. Helen and Philip were a dream to deal with- extremely honest and helpful. The accommodation was very noisy (parties upstairs) during the week and there were a few things which we mentioned needed replacing or updating in the flat. We were a family of 4 and space was very tight but you can’t fault this accommodation in terms of value for money.

Great location for the property. Small but well designed and amazingly equipped - just perfect for what we wanted. Skiing out of the apartment block in the morning was great. Getting back in involved a 1 minute walk, but that in itself was grand. The Wrights were very efficient, quick to respond to any queries and very pleasant to deal with. Would heartily recommend the property, though four big adults may find it a squeeze! Probably better suited to 2 adults + 2 children or maybe 3 adults

Loved the location for ease to the ski slopes and for shopping and bars etc. Apartment is very well equipped and comfortable. Only downside was limited hot water which means being very careful with its use. Great to find a ski apartment with a full size oven, hob and fridge.

Couldn't have asked for more from this apartment. Perfect for a couple, could easily fit one more in but 4 adults, as others have said, might be a bit cramped! Great location, right in the middle of things in VT, and great value for money. Very well equipped for cooking big meals - proper oven and hob, nice big fridge, loads of plates, pans, cutlery, knives etc. Shower was super and hot too.Nice touch with the TV - the DVD collection kept us entertained for a quieter night in, but only 2 mins walk to the restaurants and bars. As with many places in central VT, there are a few people coming and going (merrily) in the wee hours which might disturb some light sleepers but nothing out of the ordinary.
