Riad Zyo

Everything. We were upgraded to the luxury rooms on arrival and while waiting for them to be ready (we arrived early) got a warm welcome with mint tea and fresh lemon juice. The riad is just beautiful, peaceful and truly relaxing with very pleasant and helpful staff. The decor and the atmosphere were just amazing. Breakfast was really nice. Location is excellent. All around a wonderful experience.

The only small downside to the upgrade was that we were beside the breakfast room and all other guests had to pass through the little courtyard where the rooms are.

We stayed at Riad Zyo for 20 days with our 10-year old autistic son and found it to be ideal as a base from which to discover the amazing city of Rabat and Morocco's main attractions. Riad Zyo truly was for us a home away from home. Apart from its unbeatable location at the core of Rabat's medina and the many comforts this Riad offers in its cozy, beautifully decorated environments (the whole place is an amazing combination of traditional and modern, with hand-carved doors and luscious vegetation), Riad Zyo provided us with great Moroccan breakfasts and a large, clean and comfortable room. The most outstanding aspect of our stay has been the hospitality of Riad Zyo's exceptional staff. They were unfailingly kind, generous, and understanding with our son's needs and went out of their way to assist us with requests both expected and unexpected (such as organizing transport to the airport at 3am and having hot coffee waiting for us, handling our laundry, taking the trouble of getting to know our son and making him feel comfortable moving around, offering recommendations for babysitting, advising us on things to do in Rabat, shops, deals, food, and so on). This has been one of the best places we have ever stayed on vacation and should we go back to Rabat we would definitely stay there again.

The design is beautiful. Staff is excellent. Breakfast is fantastic. Great water pressure and pretty good storage. Very good AC.

Little lack of privacy in some rooms because of how a riad is all centred around a court yard.

Lovely clean room and cotton sheets. Spotlessly clean Great coffee Staff helpful when we were left in the wrong area by a taxi driver they sent someone to collect us. Terrace pleasant

Location. Mosque prayers at random times disturbing. Bit of local noise as literally off a side street inthe Medina Difficult to find. Local taxi (from the train station) dropped us off totally in the wrong place and we struggled to find the Riad. Staff no clue where to watch the World Cup football!! Yet it was on in several local bars as Moroccans are generally football mad! I thought we had a room with a balcony to sit out and get some sun but we did not.
