Apartment in front of the sea and the beach

We have stayed here before - no complaints about anything. would definitely stay here again

Just because I give the-apartment-with-a-beach-view five stars doesn't mean that you will. Allow me explain The-apartment-with-a-beach-view has everything I want from a vacation by the beach. Most importantly, the balcony faces the Atlantic Ocean. Full 180° view of the blue water, more than 90° view of breaking surf (white water) and about a 45° view of a sandy beach. Everything else is secondary to me. The-apartment-with-a-beach-view has the basics: a place to cook, a place to eat, a place to sh*t/shower/shave, a place to sleep. Some people would find fault that all of these things are old and they show it. I say, "So what?" Does everything work? Yes. Is everything clean? Yes. Is everything included? Yes. I titled this review "Iris' Place" because she's the star if the show. Iris does everything from check-in to check-out. There were a couple of problems during my stay. Iris was right on top of each one. Bless you Iris!

Great location

This apartment is ideally located above a grocery store, steps away from the beach, and in front of a playground. It was ideal for our family of three (2 adults and a toddler). There are 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms which makes this an easy place to share. We also enjoyed the satellite tv with plenty of English channels. Leonardo was very kind and reachable by phone and email and spoke English well. The playground attracted a lot of kids and was wonderful for our child to be able to play with other kids. Plus, the free wifi at the park was nice. The underground parking garage allows you to go from the apartment to the car with ease via the elevator which was nice as we were traveling with a stroller. The grocery store has everything you need during your stay. We would pop in and grab water and snacks daily. The local farmers market is a mere 5 minutes away by foot and has fresh seafood, fruits, veggies & meats. We found the area to be very inexpensive. Apparently, the town is busiest in July & August but we visited in May and it was a sleepy town. We lucked out with warm beach weather (26 degrees everyday) though it was a bit windy at times. We didn't find any good restaurants in the immediate area. Having a rental car made our trip very enjoyable. Albuferia was a bustling town with an abundance of restaurants and was only 20 mins by car. We would gladly stay here again simply because of the proximity to the ocean; the apartment is literally on the beach. Other towns we visited lacked this as the apartments and hotels were not oceanfront. you had to walk which sounds silly but when you have a toddler with you and ALL of the stuff that goes with that it makes a difference.
