Fun but tight

The novelty of being an old prison and the location.

Given it is an ex prison cell...expect a little on the claustrophobic side for 4 adults.

Walking distance from Luzern Bhf( Approx: 5 min) Room was neat and clean but a bit too small. Bed was comfortable! :)

Since the Hotel was previously a Jail, the ventilation was lacking a bit. Rooms were darker (probably due to the Jail makeover)

Okay stay for a night

The staff at the reception was really good in explaining our queries. Appreciate their efforts.

rooms are a bit too small, it's a prison theme as explained by the staff. But it could have been a bit bigger. Bathrooms are kind of blurry see through glasses. So, if you're with family with kids it could be a bit difficult UpTo them. No hair dryer as well. The rooms were a bit cold, no way to adjust heating.

Amazing quirky property in a great location with brilliant staff.

All of the staff were amazing Heidi was exceptional. She was thoughtful and very helpful and checked in on the things she helped me plan. She is a huge asset to the hotel. It was in a great location, clean warm and comfortable. The experience of being in a cell was fun.

LOVED the woman at the front desk. Wow, she was so friendly and helpful. We also really loved our room. It was one of our favorites in Switzerland! We also really liked the location, as it was walking distance to everything we needed.

Great stay, would recommend

Excellent location, very close to the city centre. Double room was great, very clean and nicely decorated. It also had lots of storage space. Large bathroom, also extremely clean. I appreciated we could use their free luggage storage before and after check-in.

The pillows were too large and hard, so we decided to sleep without a pillow. It wasn't a problem for us and everything otherwise was fantastic.

Prison at it's finest

The converted prison, doors, decor, and even staff all lent to the atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and informative. The location was great. We paid for the continental breakfast and it was well worth it. We had two twin beds but the bathroom was very nice.

I should have checked about a double or queen bedroom. We had twin beds but what do you expect...it was a prison! No A/C but by evening (in mid June) the fan was sufficient.

We were 4 in a room. It was so hot that night. The cell rooms have a very small window but if left open it’s pretty noisy from the street outside. The hotel provided a fan but it wasn’t very strong. There is no room for putting cabin bags down.

Totally recommended. The city if gorgeous and this location allows you to walk around it perfectly.

The location was outstanding. The hotel itself was beautiful with its "prison" ambience and concept. They refer to guests as inmates and I loved that. Very different.

Novelty factor of staying in a real prison, good breakfast.

Good location in the old town, walking distance from the rail station. The room is a converted prison cell, so I knew what to expect- appreciated the availability of an ensuite bathroom, albeit tiny. Breakfast for an additional 13 francs per person was good value for money.

The rooms can get very hot and stifling in summer, due to very high windows.

Went on the next day with a much better view.

Cute, comfortable and well equipped accomodation for people travelling alone or in small groups. The location is perfect and close to all attractions. The staff is very helpful, especially the guy with glasses at the reception.

Really unique concept, loved the place , first time ever I stayed in such a place , it is near to most the tourists spots and restaurants and coffee shops..

Great location in Lucerne Old Town.

The location was excellent in the Old Town. We could walk to many places of interest such as the Chapel Bridge. The hotel itself was unusual having been a prison.

Room was spacious but little room around the bed. Generally more like backpackers standard. Breakfast was not attractive - had to go up and down a few stairs to access the food options. Okay for young people.

Great experience.

This is a really out of the ordinary experience. The room was very very small, as is expected from a prison cell :-) However, the bathroom and shower were nice, modern and clean and fully functional. Note that we were a couple and had separate single beds. We were however able to push them together side by side to make a double bed. Make no mistake, this is a small room! We we only there for two nights, and that was all for us. The location is perfect and for the price, it's hard to beat. We were a little disappointed with the breakfast. Since it was not included in our reservation, we decided to pay and add the breakfast. Everything was good and fresh, but the selection was not what we expected for the extra price. Overall, great location, great value.
