France was experiencing a heatwave. The apartment is in a converted farm building so very cool inside. Lots of space. Enough kitchen equipment to self cater. Huge fridge. The location is good, close to Poziers, Thiepval, High Wood and Mametz. All within an easy bike ride. The host was very friendly. Off road parking.
I was happy with the stay.

The location is fantastic if you want to visit and / or learn more about the Somme battlefields.
Plenty of stuff to do, interesting monuments and museums within 30 mins driving
The accommodation was quite old fashioned, very basic, the gite, while clean smelled slightly musty, the mattresses were ok, but quite firm and one of them looked mouldy, although there was a mattess protector on it, it's not ideal, slept on top of a duvet to add another layer
I don't want to be too harsh, but I wouldn't use this accommodation again and don't feel it deserves the 9.0 rating that it has on booking.com
