If you are looking for upscale living with the convenience of being walking distance to The Village, then Sky High Retreat is the perfect place for your group! With picturesque views of the lake, the north shore mountains and the Arctic Circle, you and your guests are destined to feel “on top of the world” while enjoying the fresh mountain air. The front door opens up to the game room equipped with a Full-Sized Billiard Table, Ping Pong Table, Mini Fridge and 2 Flat Screen TVs. Upstairs you will find the living room and a large kitchen with granite countertops, wood cabinets, stainless steel appliances, double oven (perfect for cooking large meals), island with barstool seating for 3, and a large dining table that seats 10. Adjacent to the kitchen is the living room with a huge sectional wraparound couch w/ottoman, gas fireplace, a Flat Screen TV and a dry bar with 3 barstools. No loud parties after 10 pm Check-In requires confirmation of photo I.D. and signature of rental agreement. We will send you a text message the day prior to your arrival to the phone number you provided on your reservation. Check-In will be with a Check-In agent at our office located at Bear Valley Lock &Key 477 S Eureka Drive Big Bear Lake, CA 92315. The Check-In agent will give you entry instructions and answer any questions you may have about the property. No renters under the age 21. No smoking indoors. Deposit money is charged only if damage is reported. Firewood is not provided for guest use. Guests are required to take their trash to the clean Big Bear trash site. (address provided) If you leave trash at the property you will be charged per bag, trash fee. No beer, wine, lotions, grease, or dirt in the Jacuzzi/spa. If the spa is abused and water needs to be drained and filled you will be charged $75 drain and fill fee. Guest Services calls after 10 pm are for emergencies only. Please leave the property in the same condition as you found it. When available late checkout fee is $75, due after you check in at the property.
Rules to Vacation by
Do not exceed the occupancy limit
Do not exceed the stated occupancy at any time during your stay. The maximum number of adult occupants may be less than the total maximum occupancy.
NO PARTIES ALLOWED.
No parking in street or yard
Parking is only permitted in the driveway, designated parking spaces, and garage. This includes trailers. The maximum number of vehicles permitted is on the exterior sign.
No amplified music 24/7
Amplified music is not permitted to be heard beyond the property line 24/7. Close your windows to avoid music carrying beyond the property line.
Head inside at 10:00 p.m.
Noisy outdoor activities and spa use are prohibited from 10:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
Take your furry friend with you
Take your dog with you so they do not disturb surrounding neighbors. You will find that Big Bear Lake is very dog-friendly!
Take trash to dumpster locations
Trash needs to be taken to a local dumpsite unless there are commercial trash bins at your property (condo).

Consequences
Unfortunately, a few of our guests refuse to extend common courtesy and neighborly behavior toward the guests and residents around them. For those guests who have come to party and disrupt the peace and tranquility of the neighborhoods, there are costly and severe consequences.
Fines
The minimum fine for violating the rules stated previously is $500 per violation. A second offense is $1000 per violation.
Eviction
Unruly guests who blatantly disregard the rules and expectations will be evicted without a refund. In addition, costly citations may be issued to the undersigned.

The house is more beautiful than the listing pictures show. The bedrooms were spacious and the common areas were large enough for my big family. The house is not perfect and has signs of wear and tear like missing dresser handles, chipped wood on cabinets, and old bedding. The location however… PERFECT. The house is so close to the major Big Bear attractions. Overall we had a fantastic stay here and would come back in the future.

Abundance of beds and spacious rooms.

Overall this was a great place to stay. We had a group of 3 families - 6 adults and 5 kids (2-6 years old). It was a spacious place for the kids to play. I could also see this as a good place for a large family gathering. Nothing in the house is brand new or top end, but I wouldn't expect that when I was renting it.
Pros:
-There was a sledding hill just a short walk up the hill to a large open park area. I didn't see any sleds at the house, so plan ahead a bring your own in case.
-All of the appliances worked well
-The hot tub was nice and well kept.
-The pool table was nice, it works and is in relatively good shape for an in home pool table, does have a slight break to it.
-The ping pong table works well, but don't lean on one side as it is a little unstable.
-Hot water was not an issue for us (as in other reviews). I know the house has a tankless water heater.
-We brought extra towels based on previous reviews, really. Needed them for hot tub use.
Cons:
-Utensils. There weren't enough. I wouldn't care that much, but it was in other reviews and probably costs $10-20 to fix. We counted 7 forks. Amazon or even Goodwill?
-Beds - The mattress in the master is a 10/10 firmness, hopefully they get a new one, but bring a topper if you can.
-Remotes - There were 5 remotes sitting in front of the main TV, but the one that worked was in the couch cushions...
-The TV in front of the PingPong table was useless. It turned on, but isn't Smart and not connected to anything.

Large enough for my family with a gorgeous veiw. Obvioisly used alot. Low lighting in kitchen and bedrooms and baths downstairs. Immediate attention by management. We had to ask for baby gate for stairs and a pack and play, which was broight right away.. But the worst was the hit water situation. After 1 and a half days we only had enough hot water for half a shower. Miserable as you could imagine. The upstairs qun bed , where my son and wife were to sleep was impossible to sleep in. It kept rolling to the center. The king bed was like sleeping on a rock. Our 2nd night was to be our big family dinner.But could only come up with 7 forks. We were offered more , but it was already too late. Half wer shower
