Good and spacious rooms for family stay

Sometime floor noise disturbing if child’s accompanied. It is difficult to control kids walking but other ground floor guest noise complaints

Good location, at walking distance from Kyoto Station and bus stops. A Lawson on the corner and a 24h laundry downstairs. The heater worked fine. The staff was always polite and helpful. Spacious room.

The room seemed to be closed for a while with dust inside the wardrobe and bathroom. The access area to the elevator might also use some cleaning. There was an undergoing renovation upstairs which was stated on the booking email. So be aware of noises between 9am and 9pm.

The staff are very helpful. They helped send our luggage to the next hotel. They also received our luggage a day early. The coin laundry was 24 hrs, which was convenient for us. The space was good for 3 adults. It is also near enough to the stations we needed to be. It was 30 mins from Nanzenji Temple, 30 mins to Uji / Nintendo Museum, close to 2 subways and bus stops. Fushimi Inari and Gion District also close by.

Its cheap and in a decent location.

We did not get Japanese style room depicted on the listing. Instead we got a generic western style room with the third person sleeping on the sofa, instead of a futon we expected which resulted in a much less comfortable sleep and a much more cramped layout. We had to jump over beds to reach the bathroom. Funny enough, when I asked staff about us not getting the room shown in the listing all I got was "you should have asked for it". Well, I booked a room and I expect to get what's in the listing, don't I? If you have different types of rooms - list them separately, let me choose. How am I supposed to know that I need to message you about the room type if it's not mentioned anywhere? Should I be messaging every hotel saying "oh by the way could you provide me with the room I booked and not some other room?". Very silly and misleading behavior.
