Super friendly, sociable and authentic vibe and great communal areas without being a party hostel. The staff were great - so helpful with tour and local information, even if you didn’t book a tour through them.
I originally booked a 6 bed dorm which when I arrived was full and felt quite cramped and hot. I asked to be moved to an 8 bed room and the staff were very accommodating and sorted it for me :)

We were in a lower floor room that was fine but didn’t have any windows.

Lovely hostel with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I loved the kitchen - big, homey, and filled with everything you need to cook. The staff wonderful - helpful, patient, and kind! The hostel arranged a penguin tour and kayaking tour for me - both a lot of fun. The hostel is located right across the street from Bus Sur Station so if you are planning to travel here by bus from Castro or Puerto Montt, take Bus Sur! It's alos located just a few blocks from the shore and from many restaurants, supermarket, and cafes.
