Strada - Furnished apartment - Downtown Lyon

The apartment was quite spacious and well equipped. The location was very convenient, but unfortunately it was very noisy at night.

The weather was very hot during our stay and there was no air conditioning in the apartment, only 2 very loud fans, so we were obliged to keep the windows open. As already mentioned, it was very noisy at night until 1-2 am. Another problem was the floor in the shower which was very slippery and we almost fell whilst taking a shower. We requested a rubber mat to improve the problem, but the agency failed to supply one.

The location was simply perfect Loved it had a lift Spacious, modern and clean

The only thing was we were there for a particularly hot week and no air conditioning was a problem To their credit they did have 2 fans for us to use which was very kind

Scary lift and there were still stairs to climb with luggage. Had to unlock 4 doors to get in one of which had a ridiculous key that you had to struggle with. Furniture was old and uncomfortable. We stayed for 3 weeks and had to ask for new sheets as it was impossible to wash them in the small machine provided. They also advertised a dishwasher which was not there. Not even a broom to sweep the floor and getting the key for the place required going into a sketchy alley to a lock box some distance from the property.

The appartement is well situated in a good location, easy transport links (bus stop right outside) and in walking distance of main parts of Lyon; opera, bellecour etc. The apartment was well equipped with kitchen facilities, utensils and cleaning supplies as well as appliances. The design of each room is very contemporary and attractive, the shower was a large walk-in which was great. Check-in and collecting the keys was very easy with a friendly and helpful host.

The flat is in a central location but it did become very noisy at night as it’s near pubs/bars below. Although we stay up late and the bars became much quieter after around midnight, neighbours were noisy playing music and singing in the early hours. This is no fault of the apartment, we expect some noise in a residential area but it was difficult to sleep on the last evening (a Thursday) because of locals having parties until around 4am. The hot water in the shower did not last very long. We ended up sharing the shower as the water ran cold after 10 minutes.
