Sehr schöne Wohnung, ein herzlicher Empfang und eine sehr gute Lage. Ein nur kurzer Weg in die Innenstadt und ein kurzer Weg bis zum Klinikum.

The host was lovely, genuinely warm and helpful throughout. They even offered to wash our clothes, which we really appreciated, as there’s no easy laundry service nearby. The location was quiet (we visited during the school holidays), everything was spotlessly clean, and when one of the roller shutter cords came away from the wall it was fixed straight away. A small thing, but it said a lot about how attentive the host is.

A few things international travellers might want to know before booking. The wifi was very slow and dropped out completely at times, so we couldn’t reliably check in on work or stream anything on our devices. There’s no air conditioning, which simply isn’t standard in Germany, but we visited during a heatwave and a fan or two would make a real difference. If you’re not familiar with the German trick of closing the roller shutters early in the day to keep the heat out, you’ll want to learn it fast. The pillows were also very large and firm, which made them hard to actually sleep on, and there’s no smart TV, so no streaming or plugging in a streaming device.
