Campo Santo

Great location - 5 mins level walk from village and superb views. Very friendly hosts and delicious food (evening and breakfast). A lovely, peaceful spot away from the main tourist area.

Room had a beautiful view facing the sunrise direction. Bed was comfortable. Shower in the afternoon was hot, in the morning it was a bit cool, although to be expected given the island's infrastructure. Breakfast was simple but tasty. Have the option of ordering dinner there as well, although we already had other dinner plans.

Bathroom doors didn't close when they were not in use. Had to ask for a towel, seemed like other guests didn't have them either by default. Check out time worked for our itinerary, but in general 9 AM seems a bit early.

The location was stunning with views overlooking the lake and the Andean mountains. As advised we left our big bags in Copacabana and only travelled with small back packs as it is quite a walk (40 minutes), largely upstairs from the harbour. Once relieved of our bags we very much enjoyed exploring the island and later watching the sunset. We enjoyed a good dinner at the hotel (fortunate as it was about a 15 minute walk from the nearest restaurant) and breakfast was also very good. We could walk to the nearby Inca Temple de Sol before breakfast. The rooms were simple but warm overnight and we enjoyed hot, solar powered showers (bring your own towels). Overall a very good stay in a special place with a warm welcome.

Impossible to find the property and the hosts never responded! Walked for an hour looking for it, gave up and stayed elsewhere.
