Castle / Alfama in the historic center

Nice hosts nice app. 2nd room small as shown in photos

Great location in the heart of Alfama district. Sufficiently tucked away not to be disturbed by noise at night. Close to the Castle and the Mirador. Close to tram lines and restaurants. Good suggestions as to restaurants and sightseeing by previous occupants. The only negative was insufficient hot water for two people. Would recommend to others.

Quiet at night except for the nightly garbage pickup which was not for long. Close to all Alfama experiences. Very narrow steep flight of stairs to the apartment. We were met by a very pleasant hostess who quickly showed us through the apartment. We appreciated the room heaters and extra blankets as it was chilly, being early March. Beds were comfortable enough.

The place was clean and extremely well located in the old historic town. As it is in the old town, the apartment was dated with steep staircase, small kitchen and living room area and tiny bathroom. More than sufficient for 2 people but the main living space is cramped for any more. There was no air conditioning and fans were ok for the October weather. Host communication was excellent and we appreciated the recommendations for location eateries.
