Perfect base from which to explore Appledore and Instow.

Location was superb, it was an unexpected bonus to be directly opposite the ferry and so close to lovely shops and cafes. Spectacular views over the bay, a spacious lounge, great showers. All very welcoming.

These are small things, but the bathroom light coming on automatically and staying on for what feels like several minutes is a bit annoying - the bright light can wake up room mate. Kitchen bin in the drawer is tiny, can there be a bigger one? And smaller side plates for snacks etc.

Exceptionally clean, modern and well laid out apartment with facilities. Perfect for a family staying in the area. Staff are always very helpful. Second time staying here and we will go back again!

Appledore Escape

We were travelling as a family of 9 and rented 2 apartments for 3 and 4 nights respectively. Both the apartments were well equipped and comfortable with excellent, interesting views. The staff in the Flame Factory below the apartments were very helpful and communication before our stay was excellent.

Parking was an issue during the busy times of the day.

A few days away, very relaxing, well appointed for our purpose

Breakfast not applicable- apartment not B&B... but the pizza restaurant below (same owners) was excellent. Local pubs had varied live music almost every night

Not the owners fault, but parking only on busy street, initially we were some distance away. Just a function of Appledore. A microwave might have been expected and useful if not essential.

Great location with views over the Estuary. I loved watching the rowing boats setting out. Restaurant downstairs from the property was excellent. Apartment was very clean.

Beds could be more comfortable, I think the singles were smaller than average which is Ok for small children but not ideal for adults.

A perfect place to stay with friends for a break in Appledore

We had a brilliant stay. The hosts were lovely, the apartment was a perfect social space for the 4 of us and was very comfortable and clean. The Flame Factory (restaurant downstairs) was amazing. In fact the food was so good we ate there both nights - 2nd night the food was delivered to the apartment as no tables free in the restaurant - amazing service!! The apartment was also very quiet - you would not know you were above a restaurant. Would highly recommend staying at The Appledore Factory Apartments - 5 stars!

"Birthday weekend" away........ Chosen because it was close to where Grandfather was born.

Excellent facilities, very well equipped. Very convenient for exploring the area. The Flame Factory restaurant was brilliant, we ate there twice. We went to RHS Rosemoor plus lots of other places.

Would have liked another chair...to sit and read 📚, I read on the bed.

The perfect modern apartment for a five night break in the very pretty village of Appledore.

The location was perfect, with great views up and down the wharf side and estuary. The pizza restaurant below was excellent.

The bedding and mattress could have been better - not quite on a par with the rest of this luxury apartment.
