Relaxing stay

Beautiful, roomy and cozy room in a beautiful historic building in the countryside, including a nice private terrace and a spacious garden. Excellent breakfast and lovely host who'll help you with all the things you need to know about the surrounding area, restaurants etc. Really a very pleasant short stay!

If anything, a corkscrew and some basic cutlery to enjoy a glass of wine and some snacks in the evening sun would've been great.

Lovely spot in the French countryside.

The location was beautiful and tranquil. The room was spacious, the bed was comfy and the outdoor space including the large garden was accessible and beautiful. Sylvie and Erik were lovely hosts and made a delicious french breakfast.

We hope to return to visit this jewel set in peaceful surroundings.

The peace and quiet of the location and the welcome by the hosts were excellent. Minor dislikes were the size of the bed (standard double) which slightly too small for us, and the absence of a night light at one side of the bed. The breakfast featured local produce and was typical of the region.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay Manoir du Kasteelveld. The hosts were wonderfully charming, and couldn't have been more charming. The room was so idyllic, with a wonderful outlook and perfectly appointed. Breakfast was amazing, and the location was perfect for us as we wanted to tour Northern France and Flanders Fields.

Séjourner dans ce manoir, c’est pousser une porte qui ouvre sur un autre temps, comme une confidence précieuse. On est accueilli comme un ami rare, avec chaleur, simplicité, et l'élégance du cœur qui ne s’apprend pas. La chambre, havre silencieux, offre son calme comme un refuge de douceur, la nuit y dépose un sommeil profond, presque soyeux. Le matin, la table se pare de trésors : saveurs d’ici, générosité qui se goûte autant qu’elle se ressent. Ce manoir n’est pas qu’un lieu où l’on séjourne, c’est un écrin où le temps s’adoucit,

Tout était parfait, très bon accueil, un beau cadre, petit déjeuner copieux et varié, j'ai apprécié le fromage et la confiture de poire à la cannelle faite maison. Nous y retournerons certainement avec un grand plaisir.

Un bel endroit, au calme. Des hôtes extrêmement sympathiques. Un petit-déjeuner savoureux et copieux.

Fantastisk morgenmad. Naturskønt, dejlig have og fuglesang. Gode parkeringforhold. Søde værter, god anbefaling til spisesteder og hjælp til at bestille bord. Man kan gå til Cassel.

Det ville have været dejlig med et lille køleskab. Havestolene er af metal, så husk puder, hvis du ikke vil have rust på tøjet.

Heerlijk rustig gelegen complex met een tuin voor ons raam. Prachtig en stijlvol ingericht. Super ontbijt. Verse jus d'orange/ heerlijke streekkaas. Goed advies voor dinermogelijkheden in de buurt.

La douche à l'italienne, très belle, ne ferme pas du tout, ce qui n'est potentiellement pas très pratique, mais c'est un détail !

une paix royale dans un superbe décor campagnard

Que demander de mieux que de dormir dans une bâtisse historique décorée avec goût et raffinement dans une campagne verdoyante où le calme règne. L'accueil des hôtes Sylvie et Éric ainsi que leur fils Aymeric qui nous a donné moultes détails sur le site de Cassel et ses environs. Nous y avons passé une très bonne nuitée et le lendemain matin nous avons eu le plaisir de déguster un superbe et très copieux petit déjeuner avec des produits de fabrication artisanale comme la confiture. Enfin nous recommandons vivement de vous rendre à votre tour dans ce beau manoir. Merci à Sylvie et Éric ainsi qu'à Aymeric. ✌️😉👍

Goed voor een nachtje wanneer je vooral stilte zoekt

Het verblijf ligt heel afgelegen en heel rustig. Enkele treinen passeren, maar die storen niet. Goede uitvalsbasis voor Cassel, Clairmarais, Sint-Omaars en la Coupole. De heel positieve algemene score die dit verblijf krijgt, verwonderde ons wel. Het geheel in en rond de tuinkamer getuigt van een matig algemeen onderhoud. De lat ligt niet heel hoog. De ruime douche wordt goed warm.

Kort bed, niet voor personen boven 180. Aan de onderkant geplastificeerde hoes over de matras waardoor we wel heel erg gezweet hebben. Niet grondig gepoetst binnen. De ruimte buiten oogt verwaarloosd. Het ontbijt is qua volume voldoende, het wordt op een plateau op rolkar aan de deur gezet op het gevraagde uur. Dit een zalig ontbijt noemen vraagt toch veel van de verbeelding. Specifiek verwonderde het ons dat er voor ons beide samen slechts één klein plakje kaas en boter, twee kleine potjes confituur, een yoghurt uit de winkel en een pudding uit de winkel voorzien was, naast twee croissants en wel voldoende stokbrood en brood. Wil je beide yoghurt of pudding, dan deel je dus dat ene potje, idem voor de kaas en boter. Vanwaar die hoge score van anderen op booking? Wellicht niet door Vlamingen gegeven.
