The unit is well located in easy walking distance from the railway and is modern and well appointed

Entry to the property was provided through an App on my phone which I only learnt about whilst on route to the property on the afternoon of booking in. Correspondence from Booking.com for some reason was all in German which added to the hassle, normally all English. The App for access to the property was quite clunky and, on many occasions, had to be tried multiple times before it worked, which was both frustrating and left you a little anxious, especially if your phone was low on charge. The bath with internal shower was quite high to get into and out of a handrail and matt in the shower could prevent future accidents. The shower head was quite low for taller guests. The ground floor unit I stayed in was quite noisy from residents above given the wooden floors and the cleaner operated at unusual hours, as in past 9.00 pm in the evening. These comments should be viewed not so much as criticism but an opportunity to make the property and stay even better.

Great for a quick overnight

As per other reviews it is right on the railway line with very fast and long freight trains regularly running past. Perhaps they stop at night as it didn’t disrupt sleep. You have to download an app to open the front door which was not possible for us on a slow data connection while travelling. Thankfully we were able to contact the hosts for a backup key. We were several levels up on top apartment which was quite tough for a family of 4 with young kids.

Bright, clean and spacious apartment in great location. The stay was overall pleasant. The access to the key was right on time.

The key situation was quite bad. It mostly didn’t work and it was an adventure to get inside the building. The back entrance didn’t work, the front entrance once did once didn’t. The system isn’t good and added unnecessary stress to the trip. Furthermore the stairs in the building are constructed in a bad way. Some steps are higher than others. Tripping happens very easy. We had our apartment on the top floor and it was a bit of a challenge to bring our luggage up and down like this.

Nicely renovated large apartment with good facilities and clean. Building is right next to train tracks but most properties on the Rhine are like this. We had a difficult time trying to download code for key access with our Canadian cell phone. After few hours owner contacted us with lockbox access where fob was available. ST. GOARHAUSEN was a little disappointing with minimal restaurants and activities. We got lucky with a pop up wine bar and band on the river side our last night. Many businesses closed and boarded up. Easy to take ferry across the Rhine to St Goar. Hope things improve .

Apartment was clean and had all needed kitchen amenities, comfy beds. But, there was no shampoo, no shower gel.

Taking shower was not comfortable as the water was not hot, just a little warmer than cold.

Lovely stay

Super nice and helpful owner, close to the station. Everything super clean, new, fully equipped kitchen.

The noise of the trains at night, but most accommodations/houses have that, nothing owners can improve.

Terrible noise from the car and train traffic at night. Ear plugs offered means the host knows the problem!!! Missing a lot of kitchen stuff: cutting board, baking panes, too few glasses etc Nuisance with the app to open the door

The apartment is new and well fitted for cooking.

Very honestly, its a difficult place to sleep if you are a light sleeper. I hope the owner can improve on the sound proofing. The apartment is sandwiched between the foot of the hill (where the trains run) and the rows of houses across the road (the road is just 2m away from the wall of apartment.) The noise pollution disrupts sleep thru out the night till morning. One moment is dead quiet, next the train or the cars zooming by.

Great value for your money

We were on a self-guided bicycle trip down the Rhine and the building is right on the bike path. The apartment is very large, modern, clean and well equipped. The self check-in instruction was very clear. Everything was as advertised. We would recommend this place for other bikers.

The building is not within walking distance to restaurants or cafes and is too close to the street.

Very clean and new

There's free parking space for the apartment guests right beside the apartment. Very convenient. We could "check in" at any time since the keys to the apartment is stored in the little safe which could be unlocked with the code given. The apartment is newly refurbished, every part of the apartment (bathroom, kitchen, living room) is very clean, clean towels and bed sheets are provided. There's also Netflix on the TV which the kids enjoyed the most

The apartment is just situated next to the railway, the noise kept me awake the whole night. There's no fan/ventilator or airconditioning so we had to leave the windows open as it was a warm summer day. WiFi connection was not stable.

This is not Sankt Goar, this is the ghetto version. This side of the river is falling apart.

Free Parking next to the Hause.

Location is terrible, surrounded by buildings falling apart with a train line behind the hause and in the front a main street full of cars passing through. Sankt Goarshausen is very different than Sankt Goar. This side of the river looks more like a ghost town. I ended up shorting my stay by half and just left. No privacy inside the apartment. Everyone can look inside as the windows are see through. Closet did not have any hangers or drawers so we could not put our clothes anywhere. You cannot walk until Rewe or the backery. Please dont specially if you have a baby. Shower hanger is below on purpose so you cannot take a relaxed shower. That is just cheap attitute from the owner.

Sehr gut gelegen, wenn man z, B. zu Rhein in Flammen kommt. Wohnung ist neu renoviert und schön eingerichtet. Pflanzen würden die Atmosphäre sehr verbessern. Haus liegt genau an der Straße und Bahnlinie, doch die Fenster sind sehr gut isoliert.

Nette Ferienwohnung für 2 Personen oder Familie

Die Lage ist gut, man ist zentral und kann vieles zu Fuß erreichen (wenn der Lärm durch Zug egal ist, der wirklich die ganze Zeit fährt). Rewe, Apotheke und Essmöglichkeiten sind in Gehweite. Die Wohnung ist modern eingerichtet, aber es fehlt ein bisschen die Praktikabilität dahinter. Sie war sauber beim Checkin, das Stiegenhaus wurde während unseres Aufenthaltes nicht gereinigt.

Das Zimmer wurde für 4 Personen gebucht, allerdings gibt es nur ein Schlafzimmer und ein Schlafsofa. Das geht, wenn man als Familie unterwegs ist, aber für unsere Gruppe (Freunde) war das leider eher unpassend. Das positive Feedback bzgl Größe können wir nicht bestätigen, unsere Wohnung hatte in etwa 50 m2 und war für uns 4 sehr knapp bemessen, vor allem der Esstisch. Die Küche ist sehr spärlich eingerichtet, aber aufgrund der Bewertungen haben wir unser eigenes Küchengeschirr mitgebracht - das ist absolut notwendig, wenn man zu viert frühstücken möchte (von Kochen rede ich nicht). Auch das Klopapier war für 5 Nächte mit 3 Rollen optimistisch gewählt ;-)

Große Wohnung

Tolle Lage. Super große, helle Wohnung. Das Schlüssel System per App ist super unkompliziert. Parken kann man direkt am Haus. Für uns war es perfekt zwischen Rhein und Bahn zu sein, die kinder fanden es toll.

Die Ausstattung vor allem in der Küche war sehr sperrlich. Kaum Kochutensilien, keine Kochlöffel etc., nur ein Topf und Pfanne, für eine Wohnung mit 8 Schlafplätzen einfach viel zu wenig. Es gab auch keinen Besen oder ähnliches um zwischendurch sauber zu machen, das fanden wir nicht so toll.
