Csukavölgyi Apartman

fantastische locatie, de klim meer dan waard. We hebben enorm genoten van de tuin, de vogels, natuur in de omgeving. Op loopafstand van centrum. Ontvangst door erg vriendelijke en professionele host.

Lastig om wat mindere punten te noemen, maar we vonden het in huis erg kil. Gelukkig was het buiten lekker weer en konden we van de tuin genieten. De keukenvoorzieningen zijn basic. Er was geen wifi, stond ook niet in de beschrijving, maar wij hadden erover heen gelezen. Ik ken het prijsniveau in Visegrad niet, maar in vergelijking met andere accommodaties in Hongarije vonden wij het relatief duur voor wat wordt geboden.

It was a well maintained little house up the hill. The short walk to the center and other sights was pleasant. The place was cosy and we’ll heated. Everything was working well and was clean. The lady who greeted us was friendly and helpful. She provides us with a city map and discount card for a restaurant which was surprisingly good and affordable.

The place is made for larger groups, there are lots of rooms with an abundance of beds, but because if that it was lacking a bit of common space. If you’re there with a large group you might notice that even more. But it’s not a big negative as everything is described that way. There are no surprises. A few things could use an update, but also this is not an issue. Be aware of no WiFi and only basic cell reception. In general we did like the Place, regard my negative only as information and no complain :)

The host is a very kind lady who doesn't speak English and speaks just German a little. But that's no problem because she shows you everything and talk to you with "her arms" and those several words she knows. She's great! It was pleasantly chilly in the house when the outside temperature reached 35°C. The apartment is really big and I had the feeling of being at my grandma's during my stay. It's very comfortable. And there are lots of cats in the neighbourhood! Willing to play with you and to let you pet them.

The host could invest in buying an electric kettle to the kitchen – there's plenty of space in the kitchen, it's a shame that such an important appliance isn't there. And she also could buy a new microwave or at least clean the present one properly. It was really cold in the house when the outside temperature dropped rapidly.

The host was nice (though we had a language barrier). It is on a hill about 15min walk to the center. In summer, the terrasse might be nice in summer.

The beds, equipment, furniture are quite old. There was also a smell of humidity in the house.
