Halmer Grange Guest House

The owners were friendly and welcoming. They offered many extras such as tv room and books to borrow. The breakfasts were wonderful with home made bread and hash browns. Bed was comfortable.

The room was a little bit small but worth the money we paid.

Excellent breakfasts. Good and varied choices on menu. Home baked bread and homemade jams. All lovely!

All good.

The property was immaculately clean. Our room - Fern- was very comfortable. Like the fact that we were welcomed after a long drive with home made orange drizzle cake! The en suite shower worked very efficiently and there were lovely complimentary toiletries. The hosts, Charlotte and Karen were really helpful and kind. Breakfast was to die for! Home made breads, great choice of hot breakfast. Also cereals, juices, yoghurt with fruit and honey. Absolutely beautifully cooked and presented. I certainly won’t be looking to stay at any other accommodation if I come back to the North York Moors!

Nothing.

Hammer Grange was amazing, spotlessly clean and decorated to a very high standard. The hosts, Charlotte and Karen, were an absolute delight who couldn’t do enough to help. The breakfasts were superb with a wide range to choose from. The location in this village is perfect if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. In the village is the Whitby to Pickering train line where you can ride on the famous Tornado steam train. There are also beautiful walks up into the moors or down to the Mallyan Spout Waterfall. It’s worth the walk to nearby Beck Hole to visit the smallest pub in Yorkshire. In all I would thoroughly recommend a stay here.

There was nothing to dislike.
