About this house rental

Brambles is very much a family home. The house with its large rooms is extremely well equipped. There is a comfortable lounge with SKY TV. There is also a large kitchen-diner/garden room.. It is situated in a close of 5 similar houses set back from the road. The owners live in a small attached annexe which is completely self contained and private from the main house. The other end of the property is occupied by the owners daughter. This property is also completely self contained and separate. The location is peaceful and well away from the holiday traffic but still within a short distance of all amenities and 7 local beaches.( 2 miles)
As well as the reception room and Kitchen/diner/Garden Room with utility area, there are 2 bedrooms (1 Kingsize & 1 Twin) both with wash hand basins, Separate Bathroom including shower over bath, separate Shower and separate Toilet and a downstairs cloakroom.
The rear garden is fully enclosed. Well behaved and fully house trained dogs are very welcome.

Large property with a lovely private garden, dog friendly in a great location in the village of St Merryn which has many facilities including Rick Steins pub The Cornish Arms. Close to many lovely beaches, Padstow, Port Issac, Rock & Prideaux House & the Camel Trail, all worth a visit plus many more places of interest near by....Gill the owner was lovely & lived next door if you needed anything, also had excellent communication throughout and on arrival left us milk, scones, jam & cream in fridge, what more could we ask for!

Super comfortable and spacious house with a lovely big garden for Poppy dog. A short drive into St Merryn and then on to the beautiful beaches at Harlyn and Trevone and scenic coast path. Gill, the owner was very helpful and friendly. This was our 3rd stay at Brambles - that speaks for itself.

My family including baby grandson have just spent a week in this lovely house. It is very spacious with lots of rooms in which to relax. Very homely with lots to keep you entertained , TVs, books, games, radios. Well equipped with everything that you need and more. Beautiful setting with a pretty enclosed garden, close to local beaches. Our host was very easy to get hold of and kept in close contact with us. We felt very at home in this lovely family house and hope to return.

A large and comfortable family home that was welcoming and relaxing all in one. One of the most relaxing and peaceful properties we have stayed in around the area of St. Merryn. The facilities were more than adequate and the layout of the property meant lots of nooks and crannies to sit in and chill and read a book or listen to music or just some quiet contemplation. The bed was large and sumptuous with a deep deep mattress. A perfect resting place after a long day on the beach. Large, plenty of room - safe garden for dogs. Thanks for letting us stay. Our family had a fantastic week at this fabulous holiday home which was clean, quiet and well equipped. It had everything we needed and plenty of space for 6 and a dog and a lovely garden. Gill, the owner, left a welcome gift of drink/ food which was much appreciated. There was useful information in the home too. The area was very near several stunning beaches and a few miles from beautiful Padstow. The village, a mile away, had great pubs ( early booking needed) and a shop for essentials. The small country roads were very busy in the middle of the day so going out early helped with this! We would love to come back again. Fabulous cottage, helpful owner and brilliant location!

The house is very comfortable and spacious with a lovely garden in a quiet cul-de-sac. We were there during a heatwave so the garden was particularly beneficial for our border collie Poppy as there are trees and shaded areas. The house is fully equiped with everything you could need. The beds are very comfortable and Gill (the owner) is a great communicator. It's a short drive into St. Merryn where there is a bakery, Spar, café, pub etc. I wouldn't recommend walking it as the road is narrow and windy with no pavements and cars travel quite fast.

Easy to find, good north coast access. Efficient and clear materials and system at the place. Little dog got a bit excited next door in the early evening, but only a problem if you’re settling a little one and it was shushed in short order. Very pleasant place!

Well presented in a lovely quiet area. Lots of space and a safe environment for very young children (in our case). Very well supplied with virtually everything needed in the way of essentials, information and suggestions on places to go. Easy and prompt communications with owners for problems/queries/'things'. So close to all the beaches and coast south of Padstow and yet very peaceful and in a hidden but easily accessible location. A large property perfect for a family or just a couple as we where. With a large kitchen dining room with a couple of easy chairs and access to the private garden it was everything we needed. It felt like a home rather than a holiday let and was well provisioned. We would recommend this cottage.

We really enjoyed our stay at Brambles in Mid May 2019. The down stairs was very spacious & the addition of a small Tv Room / play room perfect for our 9 month who thoroughly enjoyed the toys in there. The garden was very peaceful and secure / enclosed for our 2 small dogs too who loved exploring it. The bedrooms upstairs had plenty of storage and were very roomy all with there owns sinks. There is also a shower room & seperate bathroom again that had toys in for bathroom time which was perfect after forgetting ours. It’s such a great house with a super friendly host & everything we could have thought of to make us feel at home was there. Without doubt we will be back, the sooner the better.

‘Brambles’ was perfect for our first stay in Cornwall. Close to all the beaches and St Merryn village - ideal location. We had everything we needed at the house. We found Brambles to be in an ideal location for our weeks holiday. The homely spacious accommodation was ideal for six adults with our four dogs and the secure rear garden was again ideal. Fully equipped lovely home as opposed to somewhere that’s just been kitted out for rental purposes. Everything and more that we (a family of 5 and dog) could possibly want or need. Our kids loved it. Spacious and very comfortable and warm. Nice to sleep in a decent quality bed. Ideal and peaceful location that made an ideal base to explore the surrounding places of interest. Nice to have met Gillian (the owner) who was very friendly and helpful. Wouldn’t hesitate to return here!
