Casa El tonelero con jardín y piscina privada

Accueil très bon et communication facile. Logement très bien fourni, propre et jardin magnifique avec piscine privative très bien entretenue. Très bien placé à quelques minutes à pieds du centre ville qui est très agréable. Hôte très sympathique toujours prêt à aider et à donner des conseils de visites.

Tout était parfait.

Het huis ligt op een mooie locatie in het centrum van Galdar. Het heeft een prachtige groene tuin met een mooi terras met zwembad. Achter het huis ligt een grote veranda waar het ook met een regenbuitje heerlijk buitenzitten is. Het huis zelf is goed verzorgd, brandschoon en met liefde ingericht. Een groot pluspunt is de warme ontvangst door Nicolas. Hij is een uitstekende gastheer; staat altijd voor je klaar en deelt graag tips over de omgeving. Wij voelden ons zeer welkom en komen graag nog eens terug!

The villa was extremely spacious with three decent sized bedrooms with comfy beds and plenty of storage. The garden was beautifully kept and there were different areas to enjoy including the terrace (dining and seating areas), poolside loungers, table and chairs - both by the pool / barbecue area and under a covered pergola. The pool was a good size and very well maintained. The barbecue, with charcoal provided, was an added bonus, as was the fresh produce from the garden given to us by the host. We were also gifted a delicious Canarian lemon cake baked by the host’s wife using lemons from the garden, which was unexpected and gratefully received. The location was good for exploring the town of Gáldar, which was walkable in under 10 minutes. Parking outside the property or on the road was never an issue. The host was very helpful and informative, giving us lots of suggestions to make the most of our stay in Gran Canaria.

Although generally clean, the kitchen had crumbs on the work surface and floor upon arrival. We appreciate that it is the responsibility of guests, not the hosts, to clean the crockery and utensils but some were not clean despite washing up liquid, a sponge with scourer and cleaning cloths provided. There was not a big enough hot water tank for three people to have hot showers, in quick succession. There was some noise from the flat above.
