About this villa rental
The Villa is located in Gáldar, a quiet city that has all the services and away from the crowded tourist areas. The Villa has a private pool, garden of 300 m2, fruit trees, ... All in a quiet environment and overlooking the sea. The location is perfect to move around the city center, just 10 minutes walk from the historic center. You can also find nearby: restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies and the Museum of the Painted Cave. 1.3 km beaches.
Gáldar is a small town of 20,000,000 inhabitants, it was the first capital of Gran Canaria, because the ancient Canaries reigned in this area, today you can visit one of the most important archaeological museums in the Canary Islands, in which you can discover how the canaries lived before the Spanish conquest, with projections of 3D films, and the old town of more than 100 houses and the cave painting that gives its name “La Cueva Pintada”. In the north of Gran Canaria, there are many rural houses or houses on the coast, but my house offers, unlike them, that by walking you have all the services that will make your holiday more comfortable, to great restaurants with typical Canarian food and quite economical, a municipal market, with fruit, meat, vegetables, fresh fish, pharmacy, health center, area where you can have drinks, children's playground and live music, a strategic town to visit the whole island.

We loved this place so much the first time, we returned for a second stay. The villa is like a home from home with everything you need, including a wonderful host in Nicholas. The town is a short walk up a hill, even if its a bit steep in places, and is a great historic centre with bars, resturants and attractions to visit.Whether you want a chilled out day by the pool or to explore further afield you can't go wrong staying here.

From a few days before our stay to touching down back in England, the host, Nicholas was in contact with us. He met us near the property on arrival so he could ensure we found it and explained everything.
Every day he messaged us with ideas of places to visit with directions. He was very helpful and friendly.
The property itself was very clean and spacious with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The garden and pool area was lovely, with places to relax in the sun or in the shade.
The town of Galdar was a 5 min walk away with many restaurants, cafes and shops. There is quite a steep hill to walk up, so it may not suit everyone. Galdar was beautiful, it was decorated for Christmas with lights and flowers and attracted lots of visitors.
We had a wonderful holiday and will definitely book again.

What a fabulous property, has everything you need. The pool area is brilliant, with great views, a bbq and toilet and shower so you dont have to go back up to the main building. The garden is a lovely oasis of colour and shade and we loved the two tortoises. The town is a short walk away, and is delightful, great places to eat and drink and get shopping. We enjoyed wandering around the town and taking in the rich culture.
Last and certainly not least Nicholas was the best host. He made us feel very welcome before we'd even arrived and was full of knowledge and great suggestions about the local area and further afield.
It was the most relaxing holiday our group have had and we'll certainly look to come back, missing it already!

Stayed at villa with friends end of April into May. The villa is remarkably well equipped with everything you need and more.. The pool was great and water temperature ideal as it is partially heated by solar panels. Plenty of outside seating areas on terrace,garden area and pool...Only downside to our holiday was the annoying clouds that seem to sit over the north of Gran Canaria during our entire stay but we can't hold the villa responsible for that!
Would definitely stay here again..
