Perfect place to relax after an adventurous day

The cottage was immaculate, warm and extremely comfortable. Perfect location for exploring the North of Scotland. Quiet location but close enough to Inverness for a range of shops/restaurants. Also, if the pizza truck is there (I spied it from the bedroom window) …get a pizza - it was amazing!

Delightful cottage in the countryside!

We loved staying at this lovely little cottage! It was decorated really nicely and was so cosy and comfortable. We loved the neighborhood and walked to the little shop in the village to buy our groceries. We were able to cook, do laundry, and take walks in the area. It was a perfect base to explore Loch Ness and visit Cawdor Castle. The cottage is very thoughtfully stocked with guidebooks, board games, and DVDs, all of which we made use of on our trip. We also had to drop our daughter off at the Inverness Airport and that was super easy as well. I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here again.

Simply wonderful

The place itself was wonderful. We adored the dining area with its lovely view. The extras that the owner provided such as coffee, tea, fresh milk and kitchen seasonings were so thoughtful. The place was also very clean and had a nice light scent. We loved the cottage and hope to return someday.

Just a suggestion - it was unseasonably warm during our stay, and the comforter/duvet was too warm. Perhaps provide a plain sheet between the bed and the comforter (to add extra layer in case duvet is too warm).

Charming and Memorable Family Getaway

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage with our family, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The property was cozy, clean, and thoughtfully furnished. Every room was well-maintained, with comfortable beds, a fully equipped kitchen, and plenty of space for everyone go relax. A perfect spot for families looking to unwind and spend quality time together. Highly recommended — we’d love to return!

The cottage is absolutely perfect - it’s located in a very quiet new village, which is super convenient for seeing sights around Inverness, and the amenities are excellent - a brilliant playpark sits a stone’s throw away from the cottage for the wee ones, and there is a grocery store, pharmacy and cafe nearby too. The cottage had a fully enclosed rear garden and lots of play equipment for children in a storage box, a lovely wee sun room, and comfortable sitting room and bedrooms. It is very clean and the decor is tasteful. The host made sure we were happy and provided a high chair and travel cot, and let us know we could check in early and leave late if we wanted to. I had a lovely holiday weekend at the cottage and enjoyed the pretty and quiet location. I would recommend this holiday cottage and definitely stay again.

Great location for exploring the Highlands, and a very comfortable and convenient place to stay.

It was exceptionally clean, absolutely immaculate. The proximity to the airport was very convenient as we flew home from Inverness, and yet we didn’t hear any planes overhead during our stay.

The property was equipped with everything we needed, there wasn’t anything to dislike.

Fabulous cottage

The cottage was super clean and well appointed. Tornagrain is unique, google it! The football pitch and tennis courts were great to use at the end of the day. There is also a child’s play area, shop and pharmacy. It looks like there will be a cafe but it doesn’t look as if it’s open at the moment. Location is great for Inverness, Culloden and Fort George.

House was modern and clean with all the appliances you would need. Area had plenty of amenities with a local shop a 2 minute walk away and a supermarket and retail park a short drive away. There are multiple beaches, towns and attractions all within a 20-30 min drive which provide plenty to do! Would absolutely come back.

Fabulous cottage in a good location

Beautifully fitted out cottage in a gorgeous peaceful location. Everything was spotlessly clean and very high quality. Great if staying with kids as there was both a tennis court and playpark within a 2 minute walk. Would definitely recommend a stay here if visiting the Inverness area.

Wonderful cottage

Very spacious with a good size private garden. Very clean with modern, comfortable furniture. It was well presented and equipped with everything you might need. A “real home from home” - it even had books to read and children’s toys! The “cottage” is in fact a modern bungalow located on a new, planned settlement which will be further developed over the next 50 years. We were not expecting this but we found it interesting to look at the architectural styles and the building work caused no problems as it was a long way from the cottage. At the moment there is a good size shop and a pharmacy on the development as well as a children’s play area and some tennis courts. A coffee shop will be opening soon but there are currently no restaurants. This was not a problem for us as with a car we were located close to Colluden, the Moray coastline and Inverness. We loved staying here.

Everything about the property was perfect - there was nothing that we did not like. However, one slight problem was that the keys we were provided with for the back door and the patio door did not work. This meant to access the garden we had to exit the front door and walk through the side gate and around the side of the cottage.

Great stay

It was super clean and tidy. Well equipped as had everything from microwave to bin liners as not one thing we needed to bring or didn’t have. What a great property. Will definitely be back in the future. Oh and tennis courts were ace as used them lots and kids loved them. Thanks Rachael.

Wir sind Vielreisende. Dieses wunderschöne Cottage in der Nähe von Inverness begeistert mit einer tollen Ausstattung, modernen Ambiente und perfekter Sauberkeit. Man kommt rein und fühl sich sofort willkommen. Das Interieur ist toll abgestimmt und gibt jedem Raum eine tolle Wärme und Gemütlichkeit. Wir haben es geliebt nach unseren Ausflügen nach Inverness, Isle of Skye oder Loch Ness wieder zurück zu kommen und dort zu kochen und eine schöne Zeit zu verbringen. Die Unterkunft verfügt über einen kleinen Innenhof mit Terrasse und eigener überdachter Garage. Im kleinen Ort selbst gibt es einen kleinen Dorfladen, Apotheke und eine Bushaltestelle - der Tennisplatz und Spielplatz kann mit genutzt werden. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war freundlich und lies keine Fragen offen. Wir freuen uns auf ein Wiederkommen.
