Excellent Value for Money

Perfect place for 5 days in Torquay for the Agatha Christie festival. Very close to Torre Abbey, plenty of shops nearby and walkable to Torquay sea front. The room was large, immaculately clean and comfortable. The owner was friendly and the room had everything we needed for our stay. Hopefully we’ll be back next year

Some issues with damp

Location was good, the people who own it are nice and helpful.

The flat has an extremely strong smell of damp which is very unpleasant. We only used the flat for sleeping but in hindsight I wish we had left earlier as now all our belongings smell and some are not easy to wash, eg suitcase. Based on the cleanliness of the flat generally I would say the smell is a structural issue with the building.

Very welcoming when we arrived. Lovely period features retained in the rooms. Furniture and beds all very comfortable. Easy walk to the sea front and local shops and eateries.

Friendly welcome. Good value for money and had everything we needed eg tv cooker sit down area etc. Ground floor property and very quiet.

Highest Quality Self-Catering Accommodation

The property is in a lovely, leafy part of the town, is very well appointed, and impeccably clean. Our flat was very spacious, and we enjoyed excellent views over the open spaces in the neighbourhood. A lot of attention to detail in the layout and decor, and most importantly, the needs of self-catering guests. One of the best of this type of accommodation. Would highly recommend, and love to stay again sometime.

Excellent and highly recommend to anyone

Overall our stay was fantastic. Could not fault the location which was perfect for the beach and close to the main road but still quiet enough to get a good night's sleep. Highly recommend the self contained flats which were like home from home and small condiments like tea coffee and a milk were a really nice touch. Our hosts were kind and really friendly showed is to our room upon arrival and were there if you had any problems during the stay. We had use of board games, dvds and books but we were out most of the time. Would definetly recommend to anyone and very quiet for family's.

This comment will seriously out way all the good stuff about our stay and my only little gripe was how dusty the tv stand was and noticed behind our sofa could have done with a little Hoover BUT it didn't put me off our amazing stay there (im being picky as I am a commercial cleaner by trade) Keep up the fab work and we will stay again in the future.

Great place to stay

Lovely apartment in a great location, the bedroom and living space was lovely and spacious and we did not at any time feel we were tripping over each other, we were close to the beach and perfect for what we needed. The train station is really close by (5-10min walk) which is very handy!! Clair and Hedley were excellent hosts, answered messages quickly and were there when we arrived (even when we arrived a bit earlier than check in time) We would definitely look to rent here again

We had everything we needed the kids slept on the huge sofa bed perfect for them, Garden was just what we needed for the kids, fenced in and safe, right near train station and several bus stops

Location, comfort and peace.

Our holiday flat was clean, quiet and spacious. Everything you needed on holiday, we were; near the park, only 600 metres away from the sea and about half that distance to the railway station (day visit to Teignmouth). Across from the park we were also able to catch the number 12 bus to Paignton and Brixham. Our location was quite close to a really good Chinese takeaway, which made a change to eating out. Torquay Centre itself was only a 15-20 minute stroll along by the harbour.

There was nothing to dislike about Abbey View, whatsoever! I needed a comfortable bed and somewhere quiet, as I was still recovering from the effects of Covid. Abbey View was a great tonic.

Excellent flat with good facilities

Nice little flat with good facilities and brilliant location. Went with a group of friends and it was very pleasant and comfortable. The car park was large and we were able to keep our car there after check out. Everything was clean and comfortable, although not the most modern. Sofa bed was large and comfortable. Heaters in each room worked really well but the flat was generally very comfortable temperature wise. Hosts were very prompt and helpful with their communication. Check in and out time was reasonable.

Could do with a bit of modernising ideally, but this is not something that would put me off staying again.

A heated towel rail would be good to dry damp towel's and take off the chill of bathroom.

Birthday mini break

The hosts were warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived, five minutes walk from Torquay train station , ideally located to local shops less than ten minutes walk in either direction , apartment had everything we needed for a mini break, the bedroom was a lot bigger than expected , plenty of room to walk around , will definitely stay again next time we are in Torquay

Fantastic holiday flat in heart of Torquay!

The hosts were extremely friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay as comfortable and perfect as possible. The flat had everything you could think of for self catering, free WiFi was a huge bonus as was parking (a real unicorn in torbay!) The beds were super comfy, we let our son (12) have the bedroom to himself and my husband and I had the sofa bed in the lounge/kitchen which was comfier than a lot of beds we've slept in. We were sadly in the area for a family funeral but the location was excellent had we been there for a holiday, everything within walking distance 😊

Absolutely no complaints at all, it was perfect, best place we've stayed in torbay by a country mile!
