About this cottage rental
3 cute cottages, named MULBERRY TREE, DAPHNE and CHESTNUT TREE, with private pool each one, and very nice surrounded terraces full of trees, plants and flowers, located at Potami (means river) area, between Agnontas beach and Panormos beach. They are full of character with elegant interior decors, entirely suited to the gloriously peaceful rural setting.
They are set on the hillside overlooking the Potami valley, on land that has been in the Kohilis family for over 100 years.
The Potami area is a part of the island rich in water with plentiful springs, and as a result covered with plain trees and orchards. The whole area provides many wonderful walks, with paths leading through the mountains, past picturesque chapels and other cottages, on down to the coast.
By crossing through a wooden bridge, you are entering to the property, of 15 acres, which is covered with olive, plum, walnut, cherry, chestnut and almond trees, and a paved road leads you to the cottages.
The location is the most beautiful in the middle of the island, in a green enviroment with many springs around. All cottages are surrounded by many trees and plants, the pool and sunbathing area, composing a very secluded and peaceful place. The perfect escape, a romantic get away.
CHESTNUT TREE COTTAGE
This is the highest, of the cottages with of course, the most glorious views. There is a large terrace in front and to one side of the cottage. The swimming pool is located to the side of the cottage, surrounded by gardens. In the ground floor there is a sitting room with a fireplace, a kitchen, a shower/WC and and air-conditioned double bedroom. Steps lead up to an additional galleried double sleeping area which looks down on to the sitting room. It is suitable for 4-5 people.

Actually we were initially booked in to Chestnut Tree House, but we were kindly moved by Pipitsa and Iannis to Mulberry Tree House because the predicted storm would have made the dirt road to Chestnut Tree House difficult or impossible. The massive storm duly arrived, cutting off electricity and internet for the best part of a day.
But Iannis was exceptionally helpful, and we made the most of very difficult circumstances. Mulberry Tree House is a modernized and extended traditional stone house in a very quiet and tranquil valley, with a lovely view from the terrace.
Recommended for anyone who wants to get away from it all, but cafes and restaurants are not that far away in Agnontas. Lovely beaches along the south coast.

Had a fantastic week at Chestnut cottage, was given a warm welcome on arrival by hosts Pipitsa & Giannis . The cottage was a perfect hideaway in the hills amongst olive trees and lush vegetation giving total privacy yet only a10 minute drive from some beautiful beaches with crystal clear waters , nearby are also a good selection of tavernas and seafood restaurants where you can chill out and watch the sunset.
Skopolos is a fantastic destination which has not been spoilt by mass tourism and retains a charm all of it own with breathtaking views around every corner.
The cottage has everything you need for a relaxing break away from hustle and bustle of everyday life. Thanks again Pipitsa & Giannis, hope to return again soon
