This house is situated in quite & unique surroundings, enjoying a southerly aspect & captivating all day sunshine. Rosscarbery & district is unsurpassed for its natural beauty and our house, located on a large, private & elevated site takes full advantage of this wonderful scenery, providing breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and a commanding view of Rosscarbery town & the high steeple of St. Fachtna’s cathedral. The house is bright and spacious with large picture windows in both bedrooms & Lounge taking full advantage of the peaceful view of Rosscarbery Bay. It also includes shops, restaurants and bars.
There will be a supplementary charge per unit of electricity used, to be paid to owner at checkout. There will also be a charge for heating oil if utilized during your stay at the property and that will be taken from the security deposit only if applicable.

A true Irish welcome from the moment we arrived. Cottage has rustic charm, a bit of TLC needed in places, we had a small leak from roof but only during torrential storm, so I’m sure that was quickly sorted once Storm Amy passed. Clean on surface, but tops of windows etc have a lot of cobwebs. Host used external cleaner, so may be an issue there. We always clean when leaving so managed to remove a few. Host was amazing and offered us he ability to stay on for a couple of extra days free of charge if we needed to avoid sailing back to Wales in the storm. We didn’t take them up on it, but it was a really appreciated offer, we did accept the home baked (delicious) apple pie though. Would definitely book again if coming back to the area

This house has a welcoming and peaceful atmosphere.A great place to retreat and be with family or friends.An excellent base for anyone wanting to explore the unforgettable coastlines, wildlife, ancient sites and history of this beautiful part of west County Cork.The kitchen/dining room is cosy with a stove and big central table.The sitting room is relaxing with lovely views towards, nearby Rosscarbery, the bay and sea, beyond.When clear, the night sky is amazing.Plenty of space in the bedrooms and soft cotton bedding.Host Margaret was kind and open to answering any queries.Thank you, Margaret, we really enjoyed our stay and felt at home.

we enjoyed our stay, the weather was ok. Rosscarbery is a good location to discover the south west of Ireland between Cork and the Ring of Kerry. the place is very quiet and offers a nice view of the bay. Clonakilty is about 20 min driving distance. Pretty good restaurant in Rosscarbery too (i.e Market House). Car is a must to discover the area. No facilities for bikers (roads are pretty dangerous for bikers).
