This villa is located on the remote island of Sipan which is a 1 hour boat ride from Dubrovnik. The public ferry schedule has just a few boats per day (6am, 11:55am, etc...) so it makes getting to the city challenging. There are private options. The house: the pool area is quite run down and ill-maintained. The kitchen, while well equipped with platters, cutlery, cookware, was small and crowded with a lot of stuff. The refrigerator did not work so we had to use the one in the laundry room which was on the other side of the house. The rest of the ground floor felt like a old man's bachelor pad with piles of stuff in different corners of the house, lots of wires, missing light fixtures, random decor, a dining seat that was falling apart, and an over-loved sofa. The bedrooms were okay. One of the shower heads wouldn't stay in place and the primary bathroom shower had mildew. It was disappointing and not luxurious. The highlights were the roof deck where we enjoyed dinner two nights. There's a mini kitchen and grill up there too. I also exercised on the roof under the covered awning. There was a paddleboard for us to use which was nice and pool towels. The owner/property manager helped us with travel accommodations which would have been difficult for us to figure out on our own.

The house is perfect for a family holiday stay. A bit shabby but not too much. Located right behind the main beach and with a salt pool of its own. I may very well come back one day. I love the island and the locals and the house is a great base.

8 of us spent 5 wonderful days, enjoying island life, clean sea, pool with a salty water, house with everything you can possibly need. We enjoyed "glorijet" the most, looking at the sky and getting a fresh air even on the warmest nights. We would like to come back.

Our extended family (children up to grandparents) had a wonderful time in Sudurad, the property is excellent and we hope to stay there again!

Our group had a wonderful time at this beautiful home. The kitchen was well equipped; the pool was clean; the garden was green and peaceful; the location was convenient; and the host was excellent, helpful, and responsive.

We spent a week at this beautiful villa to celebrate a milestone birthday. Our group was large and diverse and coming from all over the world and the property manager Jenka did an amazing job of helping us out. The location is gorgeous - five steps from the beach and a beautiful pool in the property. Emmaculately clean, and well laid out, the kitchen is well equipped and the space easily accommodated the four couples and three teenagers. The kitchen has all modern equipment and being an avid cook I found it easy to put meals for the large group together when we decided to eat in. The air conditioning worked perfectly as did all other equipment, when we had some issues with the pool refilling Jenka brought help in and got it resolved right away. The bedrooms with attached bathrooms offer privacy and the living room, the pool side area and outdoor dining area were fabulous to hang out during the day. In the evenings drinks on the terrace provided great views. We found the people in sudurad extremely friendly and warm. A special shout out to cafe Konoba Orica which became our go- to destination for many meals. Friendly staff and fresh seafood. A note to fellow travelers, if you are planning a long stay bringing supplies from the mainland will definitely be a smart idea. The only feedback I would have is to add a few more towels and beach towels to the supplies provided in the house. Overall we enjoyed our stay in Sipan and will come back soon...

Our two families fell in love with the charming island of Sipan and the small village of Sudurad. It’s the perfect place to get away and enjoy the leisurely pace of a small town island. There are 3 or 4 restaurants in Sudurad and a small market within a 5 minute walk from the house. There’s also a fabulous restaurant, BOWA, just a short boat ride away and we had the best afternoon there - we couldn't recommend it more highly! There’s a charming boutique hotel a short walk away and we had a great morning there sipping coffee and enjoying the spectacular views from the cliffs. The house is situated in a prime location with beautiful views of the sea and easy access to the public beach. We had plenty of space for our group of 9 (4 adults and 5 kids) and we had lots of privacy since the house is set back a bit from the beach. The kitchen was equipped with modern appliances and the A/C worked great in each room. The hosts were super nice and check-in/check-out was very easy. Unfortunately, we did have a few issues with the house that left all of us a little disappointed in our accommodations. The lower level of the house had a very musty/dirty smell that never went away. Also, the pool appeared to be relatively clean when we arrived, but by the next morning it had turned a greenish/yellow color that got worse and worse each day (we never used it again after the first evening). The bathroom in the second master suite had a broken hand shower and most of the bathrooms had drainage issues (clogged shower and sink drains). The lower level bathroom had no hand or bath towels at all. The beds were fairly uncomfortable and were definitely not king-sized (as described). Despite the issues, the house was very enjoyable and is probably one of the nicer homes on the island since rentals are so limited. Dubrovnik is over an hour away by ferry so you are definitely more remote than some of the other islands, but we loved experiencing small town life in this cute little village.

Our stay on Sipan could not have been more perfect. The villa was the perfect size for our two families and was lovely. Our hosts were terrific. We swam in the ocean every day from the beach in front of the villa, we enjoyed fantastic meals at the small restaurants in this small town. Easy to ferry to nearby islands or go into Dubrovnik. I wish we could have stayed longer!
