Located in Britiande, just 4 km from the city of Lamego, known as a monumental city with its sanctuary of Our Lady of Remedies, and 4 km from the city of Tarouca with several national monuments that go back to the creation of the country (Monastery of Salzedas , Tower of the Ucanha, Convent of S. João de Tarouca), 12 km from Peso da Régua and the Douro River - the heart of the Port wine region. We are 130 km from the airport of Sá Carneiro, in Porto, a route by motorway (A28 / A4 / A24) with the duration of 1 hour and 20 minutes.
Casa do Batista is a farm dedicated to the production of wine, fruit and vegetables. We produce our own wine for home consumption. This is a local family-run accommodation, as it has 2 bedrooms and a living room, which can accommodate up to 5 guests. It is a house with many advantages and savings in the daily price of housing. The accommodation has a kitchen in common with a common room, fully equipped, where guests can prepare all their meals and socialize for most of the day. The common room leads out to a patio with a grill overlooking the farmyard garden. The patio is ideal for socializing and dining al fresco. The living room, on the first floor, leads out onto a terrace with ample views of the region around Britiande and the surrounding hills. There is free Wi-Fi and free private parking. It has an outdoor pool!
The region of Ribadouro is extremely rich in gastronomy. And guests will be able to use a wide variety of restaurants in both Britiande and the cities of Lamego and Tarouca.
In addition to pleasant walks on the farm, guests can participate in outdoor activities from Britiande, such as cycling, hiking, sport fishing, boating and canoeing on the Douro River, and can also take a dip in the municipal swimming pools of Lamego or on the river beach of the Balsemão River.

Quaint, rural, well equipped, marvellous welcome, beautiful surroundings.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour, très bien accueilli par le propriétaire. Cela nous a permis de découvrir la région du haut Douro qui est magnifique. Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié la piscine.

The home was very comfortable and in an amazing environment. Our host was very generous with his time and energy in orienting us to his family home. The swimming pool was so refreshing. We also were welcome to pick cherries which were delicious.The last mile of roads were difficult for a medium to large car.
