The staff members were very friendly, the location was convenient, the bed was comfortable, and the facilities were satisfactory. The location would likely be excellent during the summer months; despite the compact size of the rooms, the cottage itself was pleasant, featuring a small reception area.
The room's size is somewhat compact, which is understandable given that it is an older cottage. However, for a 4-star rating, one might expect additional amenities such as slippers, a bathrobe, and more personal care items. There was no wardrobe, and some less accessible areas had accumulated a significant amount of dust.

Cottage number 1. Full of character, two floors, cute, cosy, modern, quirky. We loved it. Staying one night in Dec. Zip world Lechwedd 13 minutes drive where we went for a Christmas experience. All the best, very enjoyable stay!

We have now stayed twice, first time in July second time in late November and both stays have been wonderful.
The staff are very accommodating and helpful.
The atmosphere of the pub itself is great, and even the locals were extremely friendly.
The food is delicious and is of restaurant quality but with a pub price tag!
The stay, came with breakfast, and it was delicious freshly made food.
The rooms are very clean, and accommodates for a comfortable stay.
No scrimping on the tea and coffee and can have the room replenished if required.
All the staff are extremely friendly. Would and have recommended to friends and family.

Beautiful setting and immaculately clean inside. The beds were outstandingly comfortable too.
Staff were amazing. Especially Andrew and Henos. (Forgive the spelling)!
Not really a negative just feedback. Kettle needs to be smaller and prefer mugs over cup & saucers.

Hotel was well situated and in a gorgeous setting. Staff were exceptional - friendly and accommodating. Our room was beautiful, facing the mountains and very clean and welcoming. Breakfast was 1st class and evening meals were tasty and varied. We will be recommending this hotel to all our friends and family and be returning ourselves.

We really liked the location, a beautiful view, very well served food and very kind staff.
The only thing we didn't like was the mattress, it was difficult to sleep because the mattress was very soft and gave me back pain!

We booked a long weekend here for our 1st wedding anniversary and wow, what a beautiful corner of the world. The hotel is situated amongst breathtaking views & surroundings of the National Park and was thriving in the early autumn with colours all around and fantastic warm weather. The staff are the absolute friendliest; nothing is too much trouble and everyone was so welcoming. The food was absolutely outstanding; a very large dinner menu serving anything you could possibly want from a pub / restaurant with generous portion sizes (make sure you’re hungry!). The breakfast as well was of excellent quality and very generous. We stayed in the ‘cottage’ which is almost separate to the actual hotel building so feels like you have your own private, quiet area to go back to after dinner & drinks which was nice. There was plenty of parking and we didn’t struggle for a spot at any point, even after arriving back in the evening from our days out. We really enjoyed our stay here & would recommend to anyone visiting the National Park and / or North Wales.

A quiet place, beautiful scenery, ease of access and AMAZING, SIMPLY AMAZING FOOD! The chef there, Mr. Cristian, is a top tier, extraordinary cook and the people serving are on the same line!

Overnight stop between meetings nearby. Car parking available with adequate spaces. Met inside by friendly staff who offered to help with luggage in the middle of a torrential downpour! Very comfortable room which I was told was the favourite of the staff member that showed me to my room. Very comfortable bed and room and quiet which was in stark contrast to the hotel i used the previous night.
Fabulous dinner and breakfast.
Will use again on future visits.

Good central location for other areas and things to do. Scenery what great within walking distance.
Best food round that area.
Staff were friendly and really helpful!!!
The room:
Original layout was very impractical, cramming in a desk and chair so they like say it has those features but can’t use them due to how crammed it is. Ended up moving somethings around.
Only one of the windows could be opened and that one was broken preventing it from drying there (fan was provided to stay cold though)
The bed:
Mattress was very thin so all the springs could be felt causing broken sleep though the night.
Breakfast:
Goes from 7:30 start but only if you tell the staff the day before you where going to be there at that time. On the second night the cook wasn’t informed that anyone was going to be there at that time, 3 other rooms all came down at 7:30 and where told the cook wasn’t in till 8.

All the staff were professional and caring.
It was a bit noisy at night from a nearby property. My friends were kept awake until after midnight but my room was a the front of the hotel so I wasn't disturbed.

The location was great. The staff were lovely and very welcoming and friendly. The food was good and reasonable priced. Our daughter stayed in room 1 (which was lovely) and then cottage 1 which again was more modern and very clean.
The accommodation (cottage 2) was not to my liking (layout) and was a little dated. The bathroom needed updating but it was clean.

Fantastic location and helpful staff.
More of a pub with rooms than a hotel. Poor basic pub grub. Very small bedroom and unable to keep sash window open, so very warm. Bed too soft.

Staff were welcoming and friendly. Outside dining facilities were nice and offered shade in a hot day. Location is useful for exploring the North Wales region. We used it as a base to hike Yr Wddfa and it took 25mins to drive to the park and ride. We ate in the evening. Generous portion sizes of “pub grub” with avg main px between £18-25. Highlight for me was seeing all the younger of members of staff conversing in Welsh.
Bathroom (Room 2) whilst spacious was showing signs of wear and tear. The toilet roll holder was broken and just some “gaffer tape” used to protect you from sharp edges. The sink was cracked where someone had dropped something in it and strangely the toilet seat was ‘melted’ (I don’t know how else to describe it.

The staff were brilliant, incredibly efficient and polite. Martin, the manager, went above and beyond and had an eye for detail.
