Very convenient for visiting the UNESCO caves

More shelves and coat hooks in the shower block would be useful

I had been travelling for some time in Slovenia, this was my favourite location I stayed at. The host Mattheo is a great guy. His location here is the best place to stay if you want to explore the Skocjane national park. Which I would recommend. It's literally a minutes walk from the visitor centre for the biggest underground canyon in Europe. Most tourists get the tour buses in from the bigger towns and the cities but that isn't my style. I wanted plenty of time to explore the national park and this is the only location that let me do that. Not only that but the rooms were lovely. And I mean perfect in every way. If you are a bit more on the adventurous side he has glamping pods out the back. Great facilities for cooking for yourself. (I'd recommend bringing food because there aren't any restaurants nearby really except the one at the ticket centre for the caves unless you have a car). But Mattheo does have excellent breakfast facilities, there were delicious apples and cereals. A well stocked drinks fridge with a great selection. Everything was exceptionally clean I was very happy here. And as I said before if you want to spend a whole day and really explore the national park and not just get buses in with the tourists for the cave tour and not really see Skocjane national park it is the best option. I aim to stay here again and bring my friends from home. If I could I would live here. Couldn't be happier in that wee village in Mattheos place and you'll love it too. Also if you message Mattheo before your stay he can get you a discount on the cave tour. So overall staying here is the best way to get the most affordable experience of Europe's largest underground canyon. Which is a must see by the way. Make the trip.

Beautiful area, amazing stuff and outstanding food ❣️ You're close to the caves, but there's also much more to do! Go hiking next to the river Reka and take all you need for swimming - you'll pass a lot of beautiful and peaceful places to rest and jump into the river! 🤙

Great location near the caves, great option to enjoy sunset over the region while having a drink and dinner at the restaurant, super chill people staying there

Ran out of toilet paper 2x, they never left extra rolls in the bathroom, the beds were quite noisy and moved a lot, only one bathroom for everyone in the dorm, funny checking in process, a little bit cold upon arrival but after asking a few questions the guy became friendlier and then it was really nice!
