Apartments Grgo

The host met us when we arrived after a looong day of travel. She was warm and welcoming and so relaxed. We LOVED the location as it was an easy walk from the ferry after a day of planes, Ubers, shuttle buses and ferry rides. The outstanding view from our big balcony was something we enjoyed EVERY SINGLE DAY. The apartment very comfortable with everything we needed. The bedroom didn't have AC so it was a bit hot but not unbearable. The restaurant right next to the apartment, Code 11, was the best one we tried in the whole town so that was convenient. Decent walk over the hill to Pokonji beach where we rented 2 sunchairs and an umbrella for 50 euro, which is typical. This beach is CASH ONLY. We orig walked the long way around by road but saw people coming down the hill to the beach and quickly figured out we could cut our time in half by going back that way. We took boat tours from the beach right in front of our balcony. The ferry was right in front of our apartment. We are from the US and not used to the inch high marble threshold on the floor between the bathroom and hallway so I broke my toe the first half hour of getting into the apartment but that is no one's fault....just giving you a heads up to pick your feet up if you aren't used to that either. The location allowed us to be in a calm and pretty quiet area but could easily walk around the corner on the seaside sidewalk into the busy busy busy town. Lots of fun and food and cocktails available there with a great apartment as your hub. We are still talking about our experience and thank Mariska (I hope I got that right) for her hospitality. She even allowed us to leave our bags after check out to go eat before our 12:30pm ferry back to Split. Thank you for such a great experience. We are lifelong seasoned travelers and this is one of our top 3 places we have stayed for many reasons. It isn't fancy but it is clean, safe, well equiped, good bed, great host, great location.

Nothing comes to mind of something we actively didn't like.

The master bedroom opened on to a huge balcony with an awning for shade if needed. The view was right over a small bay and the sunsets from the property were fantastic. It was just a short walk round to Hvar town
