A long walk up but manageable. When it was hot, we would only aim to go down to the water and up the stairs once, considering the work of the stairs. But that is how Positano is thus would expect this of any other property nearby.

If you can snag this property, then you are the lucky one. Sure it is a zillion steps up on a hill in a town that doesn’t have room to grow, but this location is the #1 place in town where you can take the city bus, and the regional bus, to get you where you need to go. Can you avoid stairs, you ask? No, but this is as close to perfect as this town offers. The regional bus drivers drive very fast like it is an Italian racetrack, and often don’t stop if their bus is full. Sometimes they don’t stop if you want to get off and you push the button, but just yell, “Chiesa Nuova” and they will stop. The market and the ice cream shop are steps away and John and Lucy at the market will make you a sandwich to take on your journey. Now, why haven’t I said a thing about the cottage? Because it was perfect. Perfectly perfect with a view worth a million bucks. Take the ferry from Salerno and you get to add another look at the beautiful village of Positano. We visited Sorrento, Amalfi, Ravello, and Salerno. You could even visit Pompeii from this location. Be warned. This is not the place to drive. Let someone else be the driver. There is no parking and with the winding steep roads, this is not the place to drive. Have as much fun as we did, and enjoy your stay!

Loved the terrace. Proximity to the little grocery store, a restaurant and the bus stop was excellent. Very quiet & nice neighborhood.

Place was very clean and located very near restaurants and intersection where local bus stops. Despite being close to via Marconi it was relatively quiet.

We were driving a car and had heard parking a car is an issue in Positano and thought the unit included private parking in the cost, but were informed that is an additional cost of 50 Euros. The person who checked us on directed us to a parking area that was about a 7 minute walk and we were able to find a place because it was low season.
