Absolute Perfection – Every Detail Thoughtfully Considered

We had the most incredible stay at Rosie’s Barn, tucked away near beautiful Ullswater. From start to finish, it was peaceful, luxurious, and utterly relaxing. Every single detail had been considered — from the high-quality linens and thoughtful welcome touches to the beautifully curated interiors that made the space feel both homely and special. The barn itself is immaculate, with stunning views and easy access to scenic walks and the lake. Whether we were sipping coffee in the morning sun or unwinding after a day exploring the Lakes, it felt like a little slice of heaven. It’s clear that so much love and care has gone into making Rosie’s Barn a truly memorable place to stay. We can’t recommend it highly enough — and we’re already dreaming of coming back. An easy ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ from us!

Comfortable bed, beautiful views, and excellent hospitality.

Absolutely beautiful location and the accommodation itself was the best we've stayed in! Not one thing was left out. We even had chocolates on the bed and mints on the bedside table. There was also sweets, chocolates & marshmallows included which were a bonus! The Cumbrian breakfast was excellent too, and the cooking facilities are great. The bonus was the beautiful stand alone bath surrounded by candles and fairy lights.

Nothing! We had the best time and are already planning to come back.

Absolutely stunning barn. Attention to detail was amazing. Lots of little extras scattered throughout the barn; from a welcome doggie bag, to sweets, biscuits, toiletries, marshmallows, fully equipped kitchen, warm water shower for dogs. AMAZING- 5 Stars!!!!!

Would benefit from an external security light, as my little dog needed toilet time throughout the night and it was pitch black. Torch was provided but a sensor light would’ve been handy. Also, the bed was a bit creaky when you turned over - probs just needs some WD40.

Awsome place

Cottage buitiful and peaceful even the little paddock for dogs to play. Everything you need clean an done to a high spec. Plenty of info for walks and places to visit. Recommend to anyone looking for peace and quiet buitiful scenery. Lake windermere town well worth a visit.

Great breakfast ingredients as well as treats for dog and adults were provided. Beautiful cottage in an idyllic location. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge and bedroom. Useful paddock for exercising dog.

Nothing really , the paddock is not secure although fenced , a small dog could escape so you need to exercise on lead if your dog is an escaper.

Beautiful little cottage, huge character and fantastic little touches and extras by Suzanne, the owner.

The metal frame bed was a bit squeaky when you turned over which woke us up a bit as we’re not used to it, everything else was perfect.

#Rosie's Barn

WOW. Rosie's barn is a magical place, from the exposed original wooden beams to the roll top Bath nestled on the mezzanine floor overlooking the living room but still private. The hosts have really gone to town on this conversion it's just stunning. It even has an electric car port and a warm outside water tap wich our dog really appreciated. It also has a gorgeous fully equipped kitchen and private parking. Massive thanks to the hosts for providing everything we needed and more for lovely vacation we wish we never had to leave.

Picturesque home away from home!

The place just makes you feel right at home from the logfire to the little treats placed around the barn. Attention to detail was not missed. The breakfast was exceptional, there was everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. The little quirks of the “in case you forgot box” and the marshmallows for roasting. It was also lovely of Suzanne and her partner to come and say Hi and ask how everything was for us during our stay.

My only comment on what could maybe be improved would be the metal bed frame in the bedroom was loud and squeaked whilst trying to sleep. The mattress and the bedding was extremely comfortable but the actual bed frame was just a little loud.

Beautifully decorated throughout and everything there that you need! You can tell how much the barn is loved! Breakfast provided for you in the fridge for you to prepare yourself. Nice quiet area and very quick reply if wanting to contact with any questions. Had the best time! Thankyou again x
