High Winder House consists of a kitchen with AGA cooker, electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and dining table for four, a dining/games room with pool table, gas fire, and Smart TV, a sitting room with Smart TV and woodburning stove, a snug. The bedrooms consist of a king-size, king-size with en-suite walk-in shower, double, and twin, along with a bathroom, shower room, and cloakroom. There is also an external shared utility with washing machine and tumble dryer. WiFi, fuel, power, starter pack for woodburning stove, bed linen, and towels are included in the rent. Outside, there is an enclosed wraparound garden with lawn, gravel, and furniture, and off-road parking for four cars. Two well-behaved dogs welcome; please enquire first if you wish to bring any other types of pets. Sorry, no smoking. High Winder House offers a splendid retreat, whatever time of year. The village itself has a convenience store, as well as a couple of pubs and restaurants for that fine dining experience. A short drive away is the historic and thriving towns of Ambleside, Bowness-on-Windermere and Keswick, all of which are popular tourist attractions with a range of sites to be seen. Make sure to visit Dove Cottage and the Wordsworth Museum, as well as Lake Windermere for its lakeside walks and watersporting opportunities.
