Landal Whitbarrow

Location was lovely. Facilities fantastic. The place was clean and spacious. the hot tub was fab and really clean and did not make you feel like you had been washed in chlorine like many do. Beds were comfortable and the area was quiet and peaceful. Having an on site bar is fantastic and the team were excellent in their service. Food is awesome we ate there twice. You can see why it gets such great reviews. We Will definitely be staying again.

The en-suite bathroom just needs a bit of airing… the back room was dam but it had rained a lot and this literally was the only thing. Perhaps improving the de humidifier in there would help.

The accommodation is very spacious and comfortable and the location is really handy for Ullswater and Penrith. The swimming pool is very nice and caters for children, mine loved the “Aqua Fun” session. Everything was clean and the surroundings are green, pretty and well maintained.

Some small items were missing that would have made life easier such as a spatula and a bread knife. There were some maintenance jobs that needed doing in the property such as a few patches of scuffed paintwork and a sideboard and light in the kitchen that were broken. Some jets in the hot tub also didn’t work. However these were minor inconveniences and the big things were all great.

The apartment was cosy, beautiful kitchen.Nice bar area, great entertainment on the first night.Lovely staff.

The dust on shelves in the living room wasn’t great to see. Also thick dust on coffee table. It’s a shame but we did enjoy our stay. Also the balcony needed a rub down, was a bit green. We didn’t think the bed was very comfortable and the plastic mattress protector made us sweat. A few little updates here and there would make all the difference.

Fire alarm on first night which took over 40 minutes to be addressed by staff and the 24 hour emergency number was unhelpful in the situation Balcony wood bannister was rotten so insecure Mattress was sunken on one side and bed frame was wobbly
