Carthy's Cottage

Les hôtes sont très agréables et le cottage a un petit côté chaumière de blanche neige très dépaysant! De peur qu'on ai froid des couvertures chauffantes ont été mises dans les lits, c'est un petit détail très agréable. L'hôtesse nous a proposé plein d'activités très sympathiques, en adéquation avec notre profil.

The cottage is absolutely loaded with history and is charming and comfortable. Being a historic building the quirks are what make it such a lovely experience, don’t expect level floors or high doorways, do expect super thick walls, cosy touches, ample heating and just a really comforting vibe. The amenities are good and very clean. Bernie is a very kind and generous host, the Irish breakfast she provided was very much appreciated. We loved the location and the serenity, the view is simply beautiful. I would definitely recommend Carthy’s cottage for a serene getaway.

To be honest, there wasn’t much I didn’t like. I don’t want luxury and everything to be super convenient. I do want unique and hospitable experiences.

Beautiful scenery around this cottage. Although the old stone cottage was quite cold, the fire and radiators, and electric blankets were fantastic! The host, Bernie, was a joy to deal with and was so helpful and had great suggestions about where to go for a nice day out etc.

Anyone going to stay at the cottage should try to remember to bring your own hand soap and toilet paper. You might have to bring your own olive oil too I think!

Spacious cottage full of charm. The garden was an added bonus for my son and our dog. Lovely views.
