Villa Aurabelle, Provencal villa with garden and pool in Vence,

The property exceeded our expectations. Beautiful views, clean and well equipped living quarters, and an up to date kitchen and bathroom made for a relaxing stay. The proximity to Vence meant it was a quick drive in to get supplies or enjoy lunch, but when at the villa it felt secluded and away from it all. Vence itself is a pretty village and I also recommend a trip to St Paul. We did not want to leave.

The access to the villa is a little daunting after a long drive, and you need to be quick or you will miss the signposts, but don't be put off, since once you arrive at the villa, the location is fantastic. The advertising of the property does not adequately convey the breadth of the stunning views from the villa, looking out across the valley towards the Med, with a vista from Antibes through Nice and beyond. The villa, complete with a vast and well maintained garden, provides complete tranquility and privacy, disturbed only by the sounds of the kids enjoying the pool. The villa was clean and well presented with all necessary equipment. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

The short journey from Vence, up the side of a mountain was worth every twist and turn as we were greeted with the most tremendous view over Nice and the Mediterranean. The property, pool and garden lived up to every expectation, it was clean and well maintained and had everything required to make our stay both comfortable and pleasurable.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful house. The pool was perfect with a great view. The yard was full of flowers and plants and the feel of summer so great. The house very special and we loved it - good bathrooms and well-stocked and easy kitchen. Quality all around. Happy with everything and would stay again. Some mosquitos, but with lights and the nets where able to keep the worst away. Also a narrow road leading to house, but manageble by car. We warmly recommend house and thank you for a great stay. Wer den Süden Frankreichs liebt, gutes Essen und tollen Wein in gemütlichen Bergdörfern und gelegentlichen Ausflügen an die quirligen Strandpromenaden von Nizza, antibes oder Cannes, wird den Aufenthalt in der Villa Aurabelle hoch in den Bergen mit Blick auf die Küste genießen. Vielen Dank

Wir haben es sehr genossen. Sehr freundlicher Check in sehr flexibel mit den Anreise Zeiten. Absolut Hunde freundlich. Auch bei Problemen sofort erreichbar wir bedanken uns nochmals Herzlich bei Markus und bei den Besitzern

Wir haben hier 2 herrliche Urlaubswochen verbracht und wie immer die Landschaft, Natur und das mediterrane Flair bei herrlichem Wetter genossen. Seit über 15 Jahren verbringen wir unseren Urlaub hier in der Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur und entdecken doch jedes Jahr immer wieder vieles neues. Das Haus ist sehr gepflegt und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Es ist sehr sauber und es fehlt an nichts. Der große Garten ist fantastisch und der Ausblick über die Region grandios. Auch am Pool kann man im Oktober noch herrlich entspannen und Abends zu Fuß eine Runde durch den Naturpark drehen. Unsere 2 Wochen waren wie immer viel zu schnell vorbei und wir werden mit Sicherheit hier wieder unsere Zeit verbringen. Der Check-In und Check-Out waren vollkommen unproblematisch, die Agentur vor Ort jederzeit erreichbar und sehr, sehr freundlich. Einen lieben Dank auch an unsere Gastgeber, die uns den Aufenthalt in diesem wirklich schönen Ambiente ermöglichten.

La location est très agréable et la propriété est véritablement magnifique. L'accueil avec Markus est irréprochable rendant le séjour facile. Le chemin d'accès est difficile, il est souhaitable d'avoir un véhicule (plutôt S.U.V, ou voiture haute). Nous avons passé un très bon séjour avec un temps ensoleillé.

Wunderschönes Haus, uneinsehbarer gepflegter Garten, schöner Pool und immer Blick aufs Mittelmeer und Antibes/Nizza. Wir hatten eine tolle Woche, das Check-in ist völlig unkompliziert und zuvorkommend - wir kommen ganz sicher wieder! Merci bp!

We had a real great experience in Vence. The scenery and views are spectacular, being able to watch 10s of kms away with the Mediterranean sea on the background. The house is a bit outdated, but is equiped with everything we needed for a pleasant stay, plus we were outside most of the time which is the best part of the house! I can really recommend a stay here!

Très bon séjour dans cette très belle propriété, avec une vue à 360 sur la mer, les villages et les montagnes. Très calme, maison très bien équipée. Markus est très sympathique et fait tout pour que ses hôtes passe un bon séjour. A prévoir que le chemin pour accéder à la maison n’est pas évident avec une voiture basse. Wir haben in diesem wundervoll gelegenen Haus eine sehr entspannte, sonnige, fröhliche und badefreudige Familienzeit erleben dürfen. Unser Familienhund „Lola“ hat das rundum eingezäunte Grundstück geliebt und ihre Freiheit dort sehr genossen. Die Kids waren aus dem sehr schönen, großen Pool kaum raus zu bekommen, unser 8-jähriger Sohn ist mittlerweile im Tauchen unschlagbar. In den Nachmittagsstunden haben wir die schöne Umgebung erkundet, waren in kleinen Bergdörfern aber auch in Nizza und Antibes on Tour. Ein Tagesausflug nach Monaco ins Ozeanografische Museum war natürlich zur vollen Begeisterung der Jungs auch dabei. Wir haben noch lange nicht alles gesehen und waren sicher nicht das letzte Mal in Frankreichs Süden unterwegs. Auch dieses Traumhaus können wir ohne Vorbehalte voll und ganz empfehlen. Die Hausverwaltung vertreten durch Herrn Markus Umlauf war rührend bemüht, unseren Urlaub so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Herzlichen Dank nochmals für Alles, lieber Markus. Es war eine wunderwunderschöne Zeit und wir sind alle traurig, dass es nun schon wieder vorbei ist, werden uns aber noch oft und gern an diese traumhafte Zeit erinnern.

Très bon séjour dans cette villa confortable et bien équipée. Le jardin est très agréable et la vue à 360 sur les collines et la mer est magnifique. Le Chemin du Baou des noirs permet d'accéder directement à des sentiers de randonnées vers les sommets des baous.

Schöne Ferienwohnung mit riesem Garten und wunderschöner Aussicht.

We spent 2 weeks in Villa Aurabelle and it was amazing. Amazing view, fantastic pool and a house with all that we needed. The hosts were really kind and the house was clean and ready for us when we arrived.

Unsere dreiköpfige Familie hatte Ende April 2016 bei herrlichstem Frühlingswetter das Glück, eine Woche in der Villa Aurabelle zu verbringen. Wir waren begeistert. Die geschmackvoll, zweckmäßig und liebevoll eingerichtete Villa bezaubert sofort mit dem Flair eines alten, traditionellen Hauses, das mit dem Standard einer modernen Ferienwohnung dem Gast alle Annehmlichkeiten bietet. Küche, Esszimmer (mit Spielen und vielen Infos zur Umgebung), das Kaminzimmer und auch die Schlafräume: freundlich-romantisch, sauber und gepflegt. Von nahezu allen Räumen hat man einen atemberaubenden Blick über die Bucht von Antibes/Nizza bis zu den benachbarten Dörfern auf den Hügeln sowie zu den Felsen der Region um den Baou im Rücken. Ein botanisches Kleinod ist der riesige Garten mit seinem Baumbestand: Oliven, Yucca, Palmen, Eukalyptus, Feigen, Aprikosen, Bambus...Soviel südliches Flair in der Umgebung des Hauses! Samt Pool und der großräumigen Umgebung bietet er Erlebnisse von Freiheit, Wildheit, Privatsphäre, in dieser begehrten und dichtbesiedelten Region einmalig sind. Wir haben die vielen Angebote der großen "Kunstdichte" der Umgebung und alle möglichen sinnlichen Genüsse nicht ausschöpfen können. Die Wirkungsstätten der grossen Maler Chagall, Picasso, Renoir, Miro oder Braque sind besonders zu empfehlen. Darunter St. Paul de Vence, Antibes, Vallauris, Nizza, Cannes - alles kaum eine Autostunde (oder weniger) entfernt! Nicht zu vergessen, die Orte der Düfte und Kulinarik. Unser 27jähriger Sohn hat sich in diesem Urlaub mit seinen "Oldies" keine Minute gelangweilt! Wir fanden das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sehr gut - und hoffen alle drei, dass wir bald einmal an diesen schönen Ort wiederkommen dürfen. Tipp für die letzten 10 Minuten der steilen, schmalen Zufahrt am Hügel: Wendiges, kräftiges, nicht geschniegeltes Auto benutzen, bei Tageslicht ankommen - und bei Gegenverkehr ruhig und freundlich bleiben :-). An adventurous road takes you to a beautiful and fully equipped house in midst of a big lush garden with a compact swimming pool and a stunning view on the bay of Antibes and the valley of the Var. We’ve stayed in the Villa Aurabelle for three weeks in July with our family with two young teenagers and a dog. The house was very clean and has a tasteful interior. The beds are good. There is no air conditioner, nor fans in the house, which is a small issue if the temperature is over 30 degrees. The service delivered around the house is efficient and responding quickly. With one bathroom connected to the master bedroom, 1 WC and the two other bedrooms connected to each other the house doesn’t offer too much privacy which is for our family not really an issue, but for others this could be. The garden is really beautiful and has fruits for every month, varying from prunes to figs and walnuts. We made a homemade cake with some help from the apricot tree. The view over the hills is beautiful and you can choose many perspectives. Either watching rock formations from the pool, looking at the lights over the valleys and watching the boats in the sea. Privacy is guaranteed. The pool is not too big. The other side of privacy is living in the wild. The thought of wild boars kept outside with an electrical fence was funny for us. The number of mosquitos and wasps around the house was another issue. This appeared to be an issue not only related to the house, but to the whole region, looking at the large amounts of anti-repellents being sold at an average pharmacy in Vence. For sleeping the house offers a classical but very effective protection against them: mosquito nets, which also gives a romantic taste to life. Vence is a few minutes by car, Nice is 30 minutes, Saint Paul de Vence 20 minutes. Disadvantages: • The bumpy road up here makes you not to drink too much wine before driving up • Privacy inside the house suits a family, but not larger groups • The lack of an air conditioner in combination with many mosquitos Advantages: • Tasteful and fully equipped house for family with two or three kids • Beautiful garden, privacy, private pool and stunning views over the Mediterranean • The area with e.g. nearby Vence with all its services, restaurants and Nuits du Sud For us the price/quality ratio for this house was very good and we would love to come back again.

Gemeinsam mit 3 Freundinnen hatte ich das Glück, eine Woche das wunderschöne Haus unterhalb des Col de Vence zu bewohnen. Die Lage ist einmalig, ruhig, großzügig und mit einer fantastischen Aussicht, von Nizza bis Antibe. Das Haus bietet alle Annehmlichkeiten, es ist komplett ausgestattet, alles ist sauber und lädt zum unbeschwerten Verweilen ein. Ein weiteres Plus ist der schöne, saubere Pool. Vence ist der ideale Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge zu den vielen, einmaligen Sehenswürdigkeiten, die sich in der Umgebung befinden. Nicht nur die großen Städte wie Nizza, Cannes oder Monaco sind gut zu erreichen, auch die Museen für die großen Meister z.B. der zeitgenössischen Kunst, die sich hier in unmittelbarer Nähe befinden, sind unbedingt zu empfehlen. Zum bummeln und shoppen nach dem Kunstgenuss laden alte gemütliche Städchen wie z.B. Saint Paul de Vence ein. Alles in Allem ein wunderbarer Ort für einmalige Ferien, sehr zu empfehlen.

We spent one week at this beautiful home, my husband and I, and hopefully will be able to book it again. It is a very queit place, with a fantastic view, and it is kept clean, I love to cook and the kitchen had everything that I needed there. The last part of the road to the house is a little rough, but it is doable and after driving it a couple of times no prolem at all, I would just recommend to arrive in the day light the first time.
