Modern apartment with three bedrooms 200 meters from the main course Holiday home in the heart of Taormina, 200 meters from Porta Catania, main access to Corso Umberto, the nerve center of everyday life in Taormin and at night of its nightlife, via Cesare Ottaviano is parallel to very well served Viale Arcageta; in the space of 200 meters butchers, small food shops, herbalists, restaurants, bars and markets, post offices and tobacconists within walking distance make the area extremely livable even without the aid of a means of movement, considering also that at Porta Catania c 'is the stop of the shuttle service "Red Line", which connects all areas of the country, up to the cableway that then leads to the beaches of Mazzarò, Spisone and Isola Bella. Also in Porta Catania, then, there is one of Taormina's historic agencies for booking excursions to Sicily and the surrounding islands. The location of the house is also very private and intimate, far enough away from traffic to ensure peaceful stays in the terrace, but close enough to be around the corner of all activities to enjoy your stay in the Pearl of the Ionian. The apartment was in a great location, close to the center. Francesco was good about communicating, sending photos/videos of how to get there from the center, etc. Applemaps took us a different direction (uphill), so if you get off from the bus, walk across to the center and through it to the other side (straight & easy). The apartment was as pictured, but looks a bit bigger in the photos. The air conditioner is in 2 rooms: the main room (which did not work too well) and the master bedroom (that was fantastic). For a family of 5 adults, it was too small - no one fit into the bunk beds & the room was too hot without air (in July) so two of the kids slept in the living room. For a family with smaller children and a cooler time of year, it would work perfectly. Kitchen was okay for basic needs.

Unfortunately, we were unable to stay in Giovanni's apartment due to a plumbing issue. He was very proactive about this situation and found us another beautiful apartment with a wonderful location. He took care of the entire process so we didn't have to worry about any of it. Giovanni picked us up and dropped us off at the train station, gave us maps and information along with some great restaurant recommendations! We were very pleased with the entire experience and would recommend Giovanni as a host to anyone!
